Hello, I am ready to start rebuilding atomizers and have ordered a taifun gs. Untill it gets here i have a bunch of burnt out protank coils that i have saved. Do local hardware stores like homedepot or lowes carry the needed to make coils? I did a search for "kanthal" on homedepots site and found this http://www.homedepot.com/s/kanthal?NCNI-5

what do i need? and where can i find organic cotton? walmart? Im sick of waiting for packages in the mail

You can order your kanthal from Temco. It's much cheaper at about $8 for 100ft and they don't charge shipping. It took about 4 days for them to ship to me. I would order 32ga (for the Protanks) and 28ga for your Taifun.

What you may want from Home Depot, if you don't already have it is the following:
-small needle nose pliers (the ones I bought came with wire cutters, too)
-small wire cutter
-1/16, 5/64, and 3/32 drill bits (or a drill bit set if you don't mind spending a bit more)
-small butane torch (I bought a micro pencil torch by benzomatic)

thanks guys. hey check this out, what the heck is the difference between these 2 taifun gs? im confused now, they are both on fasttech.

1 $25.39 Taifun GS Style Rebuildable Atomizer (2.7-3.0mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
2 $21.00 Taifun GS Style Rebuildable Atomizer (2.7mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Fasttech is just distributor/reseller, not the manufacture...I would look at their discussions and see the pro/cons:
I have the 25.39 one, when it works, the flavor/vapor is great on my MVP 2.0 or VV v3.0. The problem is making the wicks thin enough to juice it up without flooding the chamber, too thick of wick, you get very nasty dry hit and too thin of wick, you flood the chamber quick.

do i need a multimeter if i have an itaste v3? it tells me the ohm resistance

also, is this organic cotton? http://www.walmart.com/ip/White-Cloud-Jumbo-Size-Cotton-Balls-200-count/24706118

i keep hearing to use organic cotton but this is what walmart sells in store

A digital multimeter comes in real handy for troubleshooting issues, checking for shorts and your batteries. I believe your iTaste will not power a coil below 1.2 ohms... which means you'll be looking at mechanical mods. Therefore a multimeter is a must have item to ensure safe operation of your mechanical s.

So I would have to wrap coils that are 1.2 ohm in order to safely use on an itaste v3?

You can wrap them at 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.1 or whatever you like. But with the iTaste v3 you can't really go much lower than 1.2 before it's either not going to fire or because it's no different than using a 1.5.
I prefer 1.5 to 1.7 ish. But 2.0 is fine too.
