I'm vaping an e juice from a vendor with max vg. Its dripaholics diesel. I'm asking these questions as I read that rt was made specifically for dripping. I know rta isn't dripping, but I assumed that the flavor would be really good since it gives the impression that it would be vaped best using dripping.

Thanks for clarifying that for me I was unsure of what or how you meant what you had posted. No disrespect intended just needed more info!

Maybe go back to 50/50 ?
Don't be lured in to the marketing vomit of their dripping lines being superior or max vg "made just for RDA's".
PG is the superior flavor carrier ..............

Then this might be a stupid question, but why vape max vg if you're not allergic to pg and not into big clouds?

Good question. Those would seem to be the only reasons, as VG mutes flavor compared to PG. I'm guessing that your max VG mix will need additional flavoring to mach the flavor of the 50/50 blend.

My two preferred e-Liquids right now are 70/30 and 80/20 VG/PG. I do find the clouds are thicker and less wattage required on the higher VG store bought liquids. Soon to start DIY and then I will experiment with my VG/PG Ratios after I find the perfect recipes. Good Luck!
A bit off-topic but not really: Another very important thing to remember when starting to DIY is being as PG is your flavor mixer/carrier if your going to adjust your PG/VG ratio towards higher VG you also need to adjust your recipe percentages.

Example: all my DIY I make is 50/50 (with the exception of my two custards) as I find 50/50 is the best for me as far as flavor/throat hit/ and vapor production. If I do anything max VG I almost double my recipe percentages to get it to taste right. If I do 70/30 VG/PG I adjust up about 1%. If that makes any sense. (60 VG =.5%, 70=1%, 80=1.5% etc). It's just my personal taste.

Maybe this is the problem with the OP's juice. Maybe they were just using the standard recipe with max VG.

I'm a bit dumbfound. Did some adjustments to juice- and airflow and get some flavor. The juice is described as 'Diesel is an excellent combination of vine ripe strawberries a dash of cinnamon layered with peanut butter and bananas', but what I think I get all the flavors at once and its not nice at all. Tried it on a vv pen mod at a vape shop and found the vape very tasty and layered, but on my setup it doesn't taste anything like that at all. Anyone knows whats going on?

ckquatt, Thank You for the tips but I do not want to hijack this thread on the OP. When I start my DIY my first goal is to try reproducing the Buck Naked American and Turkish Tobacco's which are 70/30. Now I know I have much to learn about DIY and I am not trying to copy what I use now but more along the lines of my own creation that is similar or better. Could taste like a dirty ashtray or a nice fresh MB Red only the first test vape will tell!

Thanks again because your input is greatly appreciated!

Are messing with your store bought liquid? When you said adjusting the juice what did you mean?

you just listed the only 2 reasons for using max VG.I DIY and tried 100% vg with increase flavoring added and found that it gave me a heavy feeling in my lungs. I use 50/50 PG/VG and get good flavor.many vape shops promote cloud chasing and carry a lot of high VG juice but for the average vaper who wants good flavor 50/50 works much better

Are you able to adjust power? Sometimes a little tweak to wattage/voltage will make flavors pop a little more.

by pen mod are you referring to a low power tank like an protank. evod. or gs-h2. many shops use these in their flavor bars and these low power tanks do give a different flavor than a sub-ohm tank

Aren't the Sub Ohm supposed to be more flavorful? Confused here!
