@Mordacai, about your question: On the box is written 0.85ohm, but the Pico 25 mod reads the coil as 0.75ohm!

The manufacture’s resistance reading could be a rounded off number, or measured with full length tails. Always take a manufactures reading with a grain of salt for it may not be a true indication of the actual resistance of the coil.

And no discredit to the Pico, but these are not the most accurate devices for reading resistances. The devices internal resistance, it’s atomizer even how tight you have clamped down the coil can effect the resistance. And with metals such as Stainless Steel, the temperature of the metal can also effect the coils resistance.

As for your question, there is no answer. We cannot look at the resistance of a coil and give a definite wattage. One could come up with dozens of different ways to achieve a 0.85 ohm coil, all of which will be different and require different power levels to meet our preferred vaping temperatures. What dictates the needed power for a coil is it’s mass and the Specific Heat Capacity of the metal.

Yup. I never worry if my resistances are not exact although when they are super close I kind of get proudly excited. It's probably chance however. That resistance should not make that much difference to be honest.

Please stop with the wattage and just vape it already. You are gonna be fine. Work your way up to what feels great, go a tiny bit over to make sure you have hit your sweet spot, and then go down.

The mod will NOT blow up at the "wrong" wattage if there is EVEN one. If your pico and battery can't handle it they will halt the vaping process. But nothing should explode REALLY.

Comments like this really bother me... The Pico is a 75w device that takes a single battery, so yes it matters and there is nothing built into the Pico to stop it from drawing too much current from the battery. As the cell voltage drops the current requirements increase to meet the chosen wattage and that can easily exceed the safe CDR of that battery.

That is a fair enough point, @TrollDragon . I will be more thoughtful in my comments in the future. Having your regulated battery not fire is a BAD sign, etc.

I do think I was more referring to the OP's question of what might "taste good" to them but yes, we have moved on to batteries now, so it wasn't a helpful answer.

Some news:

I installed ArcticFox on my Pico 25
Works great with TC mode
The coil worms up a little bit slowly, so I use a preheat curve

I got some troubles wicking the Ammit, but eventually it's fine

Now I wonder what's the range of (celsius) degrees °C for a setup as mine?
200°C - 240°C? Something like that?
I know it is up to me, but, as was my initial question, I want to know the rules!

I appreciate all of your help!
Best regards!

210-215 is the temperature I prefer.
How many watts are you using?
I would start around 20-25 watts with that build.
I don't use curves/pre heat but if ramp up is slow, bump up the wattage a bit.

@Izan
Thank you for the quick reply :)

I use 19-20w and 210-220°C

Yes, the ramp up time is slow, that's why I chose а bump up curve

My wicking worked fine for about 5-6 days and now slowly the hits are getting a little bit dry, though I use coil/wick friendly e-liquid. At least I'm not sipping it as at first :D
Is this the way it should be? Only 5-6 days?

Best Regards

feast or famine...

Sorry, I can't even venture a guess on that one.
All my RTAs have a juice flow control. If it's dry, I open the flow a bit more.
As many have noted...Wrapping and mounting a coil is the easy part, but wicking is an art.

When I started building, I would re wick and re coil as often as possible...daily or more often.
Practice makes perfect.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers

It depends on your wicking material and how well you wick plus, oh a host of other factors. Too many to list. I think @Izan is giving you good advice to just practice finding the sweet spot, which is slightly different on every atoimizer. I am assuming you watched some YouTube videos for wicking tutorials.

I will say over time my skill in wicking has improved and my wicking time has lengthened. I use rayon as I like to overstuff a coil and it shrinks. It was magic for me but not everyone likes it, etc. In any case, I think on your first go round that length of time is Not Bad at all. TC can be great but your wick is still gonna be in there, wicking and eventually dying.
