I purchased (what I thought was) a brand new replacement cap for my Maxi RS as a back-up in case I should need one. Since I'm not soldering inclined enough to trust myself in a tight area such as the RS cap, I opted for the cap instead of a back-up switch. RoughStack V2 Replacement Cap <--That is what I purchased
This cap had obviously been used before for quite some time. The one I purchased for $25 was in more rough shape than the one I have been using for the last 6 weeks and it had dried juice in between the switch and the connector. Also, this new cap does not work with my 18650 battery because the solder spot right in the middle of the bottom of the circuit board has been worn down from being used and it no longer makes connection. The cap that I've had for 6 weeks does make connection with the same 18650 battery.

Am I crazy for expecting a NEW cap and should I open a ticket with madvapes or just let it slide because it's normal to unknowingly purchase used mod parts from them?
