Lol...once we bought Max's mushing harness and taught him, it was pretty much all over then....

Ohhhh so he is trained to pull!!! LOLOL

Cooladdict, I have the onyx black kitchenaid. I have the ice cream maker, the juicer (which I love) and the food proccessor.. Which I also love but wish the feed tube was a bit wider.

Good Morning!!!

Cooladdict that is so funny about Homer's ears... Rio's ear often flip back. I am constantly flopping them back over LOLOL.

Red we use harnesses on both Hookie and Rio and that makes a huge difference in their ability to pull without them choking against their collar or me being dragged along.
The chicken came out wonderful!! I will post a pic from my phone:)

CoolAddict I do love my kitchenaid. I would not go with the mini version.. The reviews were not that great.
Basically you are paying almost the same amount as you would for the regular one for something that is not that much smaller and has less power. For things like bread doughs and the attachments I think you really want the power. They do have a payment plan if you order directly from Kitchenaid. Just google Kitchenaid TV offer.
I do not have the spiralizer yet or the pasta attchments. I would like the noodle one but will probnably not buy the press one (that makes fettucini etc and ravioli) since I have a counter top one already.
We've actually gone through two Kitchenaids and are now on our third. We have the super-dooper heavy duty professional model. While they are good machines, the cheaper models use plastic gears which doesn't hold up to heavy tasks like kneading bread dough. Back when we were using it heavily (at least twice a week), they only lasted about 2 years before the motors burned out. Our current Kitchenaid was purchased directly from Kitchenaid as a factory refurbished model and we've had it for seven years now (although it hasn't been used in probably 5 years).

Our new toy is the Vitamix 750. It's expensive, but if it lasts as long as people says it does, then it will be worth it.

Yup...my bad! He still tries to pull in just his Martingale, and has busted up every harness but his mushing one. He's a turd!

Been fighting with my birdies to go in the new coup at nights....lil basturds! I kept them locked in it all day yesterday, so I am hoping tonight is the magic night! I had 1 out of 12 birdies go to the new coup Sunday night...I had to carry the others over one by one...except the ducks I sorta herded them in. The ducks went to the new coup friday and saturday night all on their own (Diddy refused to go in though on saturday night....it was very stressful....lol) Duddy likes to be with the hens and Diddy likes to be with Duddy so Sunday they just followed the hens right on over to the old coup. Sunday was a mess....Diddy took off flying right at dark too, but thankfully she looped back around and found her way back to the yard before complete darkness. So I had to grab Duddy and then coach her closer, and then herd them both all the way to the new coup. I am hoping tonight goes way better!! Lol

Happy birthday, brother! You are starting this year off with a bang. It's so much fun hearing about the roles you are getting. I hope this next year brings nothing but growth and fun! :)

I need that  lol
It's called Win It. I think it might be Sears that put it out. You can choose up to 10 items that are under $999.99 and spin for them every day! So far all I have won is points but hey! It's free and someone has to win, right?? :D

That's good to know about the Mini! It's being marketed as having a smaller profile but the same power, but I did wonder about that. If I end up buying one this holiday season it will be the cheap one that they sell for half price this time of year, but if I win one I want one of the bigger ones, lol! QVC had a great sale the other day where you could get the bigger one with a bunch of attachments for like $300, payable in payments, but I just couldn't do it. I was soooo tempted, though. They also had the spiralizer for $89 that day. I'm watching closely, though, so if there's another great sale I probably won't be able to resist! :D

Ha! Homer mushes without ever having been trained, lol! He pulls like crazy. I am thinking about getting him one of those Thunder Harnesses but I don't know. I guess people either love them or hate them.

I figure between the Vitamix and a kitchenaid I can get rid of a lot of my small appliances! The very first thing to go will be my hand mixer, though. My old one broke and I bought a Black and Decker one on the fly and I HAAATE that thing. It spits stuff everywhere!! I like my food processor but it's big and takes up lots of room. An attachment would be so much more handy.

As if I need more reasons to want a kitchenaid, lol! :D

I don't think I would ever use mine for anything super heavy like bread dough. The thing I make most is mashed potatoes, lol! I do make cookies every so often, so plastic gears might be a bad idea for something like that. Good to know! :)
