Tuesday night I was watching the coverage on CNN when Van Jones made his impassioned speech and he called the election a "white lash". And with people calling Trump voters racist, what do you expect? For the past 8 years, the current administration has been on a tear trying to incite a race war in the US. You read so much in the news and out of politicians' mouths that the police is inherently racist, teachers are indoctrinating their kids about "white privilege", and making white kids feel guilty about being born white and minimizing their accomplishments by attributing it to their skin color. In NYC there was a preschool where the teacher brought in cupcakes and gave them to just the colored kids in class and told the white kids that they don't get cupcakes because they've gotten too much because of white privilege. I'm not white and it still makes me sick.
In NYC, Eric Garner, a black man, died after being put into a choke hold by a white cop when he resisted arrest. Recently, US Justice Department investigators looked into the case to see if his civil rights was violated. They didn't enough evidence. So the Justice Department decided to take those investigators off the case and are bringing in new investigators from DC.
Also in NYC, federal judges invalidated stop and frisk, saying that it discriminated against blacks and Hispanics because more blacks and Hispanics were stopped than whites. Excuse me, but could it be because blacks and Hispanics (in NYC) commit the vast majority of crimes? And now the media talking heads are saying that they are in fear because they say that Trump will expand stop and frisk. If you go into the lower income neighborhoods in NYC, which are predominantly black and Hispanic, the people who live there overwhelmingly support stop and frisk.
