I forgot to tell you guys this. We were out and about today and the first stop was our friendly thrift store. Well as we were about to leave my daughter hands me this box. What about this dad she says to me, and my wife and i get slightly giddy. Low and behold she hands me the one thing we would have to order to make Vietnamese coffee, the phin filter,

So tonight i get my first homemade vietnamese coffee, and the best part, the filter was a whole dollar, cant beat it

Man, I found this on local classifieds and wish I had the extra money to buy it. It's a steal. They only want $125 for it. 2 40 gallon tanks and 2 30 gallon tanks + the stand and screen lids for all.

Hubby and I already discussed getting one or possibly two more in the future, but those are quite distant plans. If I got a setup like that, it might speed it up a little, though.

Honestly, I really want to build something like this. I saw the DIY build that lists dimensions and all of the products used along with photos.

Me too. It looks nice and clean, plus the doors on this are obviously on the front and swing open. It is however more expensive of course. I think it said they spent $200 on materials and that doesn't count the tools to put it together. But honestly $200 for 4 nice cages is not bad still considering the cost of one new tank.

You could easily use the same plans to build a smaller one that would work better. You could do a double or triple stack.
