Ha....actually my favorite coil is the 0.5 ohm SS316. I don't bother with TC and just vape it at either 25 or 28 watts in power mode. I get zero spitback. What I do is I never prime the coil. Just screw it on and put it into the tank, wait about 3-4 minutes and start vaping. When I go to refill the tank, some juice will pool up inside the coil and cause it to gurgle a bit, but what I do is give it a quick blow into the drip tip right before that first vape and that seems to force the juice back into wick material and that takes care of that. No gurgling, no juice coming up the chimney. The problem is trying to use the coil in TC mode. The performance is so inconsistent. One minute it will work fine, the next the vape is very weak. I have stocked up on the 0.5 ohm coils quite a bit. I've gone through 3 packs of 5 coils already and I still have 11 packs left. Out of the 3 packs I've gone through, I just recently had gotten one bum coil. Brand new coil and I kept getting a check atomizer error message with it. Not to mention I also have 5 of the RBA heads.
I give the Cubis Pro a slight edge over the Cubis since:
1. The airflow is a bit looser (I like an airy vape), and
2. The top fill allows me to refill without having to remove the coil from the tank
Since I've got 4 Cubis tanks and 2 Cubis Pros, I have a bunch of the 1.5 ohm Claptons that I've never used (I did use the one that came with the initial tank that I won from HG just to try it), so you're more than welcome to them if you like the 1.5 so much.
The one coil I absolutely hate is the notch coil. I've had nothing but problems with it. It vapes fine, BUT the coil floods constantly. I bet if that coil was used in a bottom airflow tank, the juice would be pouring out of it. The sad part is I still have 5 packs of those coils and I don't want to use any of it.
