The fuel pump itself isn't too expensive....at most a couple of hundred bucks (and that is for an import). The expense was the labor involved in getting to the fuel pump and swapping it out. In the Volvo, getting access to the fuel pump requires removing the entire rear seat, then draining the gas tank and cleaning out all the sludge accumulated in it.

That's why I do it myself....the difference between a 1-200 dollar fix or a 1000 dollar fix [emoji14]

I use 2x4's and a floor jack to drop the fuel tank
