I actually never was big into Rolex. My dad had one, except it wasn't the typical Rolex style. It looked more like a dressy watch. When he passed away, the watch was nowhere to be found. I suspect my brother had sold it.

That's horrible.

Nope, most everyone is still around here somewhere. Lannie and Rich disowned us a while ago. Something about not liking our political banter.

LOL! Mine grew back curly after I lost most of it from surgery and it was a hot mess on the ends, so it had to be done. I can't seem to grow my hair long to save my life!

After paying the fees does it still work out cheaper?

The customs duties was 3 percent on everything we purchased, including the jewelry. If it was just on the liquor, it would have only been around $10. The vodka, rum, and Bailey's was dirt cheap, 2 bottles for $20. That's about half of what it costs in the liquor stores here. The scotch cost me $100 for the bottle, and if I was to purchase it here, it would have cost me around $250.

Yup...I've bought a pretty pair of studs on eBay and they look tons better then the real ones I have...and they match! But it's easier for me to find affordable fakes because I like the lighter colored stones.

I know what you mean. I like a lot of the simulated ones better than the real ones. I LOVE opals, both real and simulated, but I like the blue simulated ones and the regular real ones.

Unfortunately, he had a gambling problem and he liked hitting the Indian casinos in California. At one point before my dad passed, he talked them into putting a mortgage on their house, which he ended up gambling away.

Yup...I've bought a pretty pair of studs on eBay and they look tons better then the real ones I have...and they match! But it's easier for me to find affordable fakes because I like the lighter colored stones.

The funny thing is the Effy stores were giving away free gemstone earrings and pendant sets as a come on to get cruise ship passengers into the store. So we collected them at every port. And Diamonds International's giveaway was a charm bracelet, with a different charm in each port. So we got those too.

Ugh, gambling addiction is horrible. I have a friend who was the first addiction counselor in Washington to get certified to treat gambling addiction. Now there are hundreds.

Right. They didn't know that at first so they were selling it at a really reasonable price. I love the stone and I am pretty bummed I didn't get in on them when they were affordable. Of course there are always the simulated ones..

It seems like every jewelry store in the Caribbean had "special buy" Tanzanite jewelry. The two bracelets that we got were specials...they were $250 each. And the second ring that my wife got was a special as well, that was only $750....and the stone is just over 2 carats.

Sherri, i think i might know the answer to the question of whats the difference between the mods. It just hit me, the 25 is a 25mm, it would not surprise me if the 22 isnt a 22 mm mod

Maybe it's my NyQuil, but that made sense!!!

Yes, it's a 22 mm mod. I don't know if that's the only difference, though, or if there are upgrades to the 22. I wish they came in more colors, though!
