I have now 3 or 4 rdas that im not loving at all. Just added the Freakshow mini and i really think this is the one because of the airflow being adjustable for a mtl hit BUT i cant make it work!! I have precoiled wire from fastech at 1.6ohms that i use in my subtank minis but when i put it in freakshow on the little ohms reader it comes up with 0.0 and 0.1 ohms. I have redone it a few times and still 0.0/0.1. Ive looked and looked to see if the wires are touching anywhere but no. Im new to a dripper and mad i have bought yet another that is picking a fight with me. Any advise?
Oh and are some of these rdas made more for a mech and not a regulated mod? This is the second rda ive had this issue with and makes me ask this question..

I've had the 0.00's show up if I've tightened the topper down onto the mod too much. Some toppers have a longer 510 pin than others. Some mods have a 510 connection that is much more shallow than others.

This may cause the pos and neg on the topper to contact the pin in the mod. Sometimes backing it off a bit will resolve the issue. Cheers.

Another possibility, since you are moving your coil from one juice attachment to another with a resulting change in coil resistance, is the distance between coil posts are now shorter. One of the factors of a wire's resistance is the length of the wire. A shorter wire has less resistance than a longer wire. If the distance between the posts is shorter, that same coil is now in effect a shorter wire and therefore a lower resistance. Perhaps start from scratch and make a new coil; it may take some experimentation to end up with the correct coil resistance for the Freakshow Mini.

Also make sure your post screws are snug. I once had a post screw unwittingly become loose in my RDA, and the resistance dropped from 0.6 down to 0.1 ohm.

In theory, it shouldn't make any difference if you put any RBA on either a mech or regulated mod, the results should be the same. In practice, I imagine you can throw that theory out the window for reasons I can't explain.

Take the center pin apart. Iv seen low quality clones with enough metal shavings in there that its dangerous. Take it apart, clean it up good, put back together and see if this near short you got is gone. :?)
Thanks i will try that later today,i been thinking about do it too just because i cant break it at this point lol, its already broke in my eyes.

Oh yeah that worked! So funny how sometimes taking something apart is all that is needed. Thank you!!
