Hey guys! Just a quick question. I recently picked up a Freakshow Mini from a friend of mine. She sold it to me with a dual coil already in it, however it was not wicked. Before wicking, I popped it on my IPV2 Mini and it read as .5 ohms of resistance. After wicking and attempting to fire it, the ipv would reply with, "Low Res!" So when we checked it out, the coil was displayed as having 0.0 Ohms and 0.0 Volts. Any ideas as to what might have happened? And as a side note, I read online that it was something about a 510 being shorted? Not really what that means though.

check resistance with topcap off then check with topcap on.
could be the coil is shorting out on the topcap when you put the topcap on.

if you have a multimeter you can check the coil resistance more directly to isolate whether the short is on the freakshow itself, of if the short is occurring because of a 510 interface problem.

Sometimes screwing in the topper onto the mod can cause a short in the 510 connection.
