Hi vape fam I just bought my first mechanical mod i have rebuilt lil coils like for my kanger aero tank and what not but now when i try to build coils for my first real mod the coils wont read... i put the coils screwed down onto the posts on my itaste mvp2.0 and it keeps saying the atty is at 0.0 which means im doing the coils wrong.
I bought a Panzer by mcv CLONE and a STILLARE RDA by cartel mods someone please give me some tips on how to build the coils or what im doing wrong!! i wrapped the coils around the lil mini blue screwdriver that comes with the kit 6 times put the coils in made sure they wernt touching the sides or the posts put one coil in read 0.0 put both in still 0.0 please any tips or any instructional videos ( even though ive watched a million rebuild videos ) would help please and thank you. You either have a short or your build is too low to register on the MVP. Do you have an ohm meter? If not, you really do need to get one if you are going to be rebuilding your coils.

Just as Susan said above, one thing is on most if not all VV/VW mods that reads the ohm resistance only reads to the tenth so it will round up or down the resistance, so have an ohm reader is an important tool just remember to get an ohm reader that reads to the hundredth exapmle 1.24 ohms NOT 1.2 ohms and keep in mind if you have nothing to test your readings at the ohm reader maybe off about 0.02-0.05 ohms.

And find out the minimum resistance of a coil that your device can fire.

Hi, sounds to me like the resistance is too low for your mvp to run. I hope you have a ohm tester separate where you can confirm this. Ohm Testers Are important. You can try making a build with a higher resistance. Try wrapping 8 wraps instead of six and see how your ohms read then. On the ohm tester if the numbers are not stable and jump around, then it's likely a short but I have a suspect that it's your resistance giving you the issue. 6 wraps compressed for me is consistently a .9 to 1.0, which would be too low for your battery. So try more wraps and let us know what you read then and how your doing. I hope this helps you out.

Ya I don't have a proper ohm reader I've just been using my itAste mvp2.0 I just ordered a real one and what u mean adjusting the 510 connections how do I addjust them
This is not the problem you are having because your MVP is recognizing that an atomizer is attached (reading 0.0ohms). If your MVP was not recognizing the attached atomizer it would read "non".

If you get a "non" reading when your atomizer is attached your center pin could be pushed down. In that case, here is a possible fix. Center Pin Issue - Fixing a non firing eGo battery

When you put one coil in the atty, it will have the resistance of that coil. With two coils in, the atty will have half the resistance of one coil.

I would take a piece of Kanthal about 5 inches long, mount it in the atty close to the ends and try to read that with the MVP. That should have enough resistance to read on it. If it does you can shorten the wire without cutting it and figure out how low it will read.

You really need to get yourself a ohm tester. A inexpensive DMM will do it too, but they can be hard to get good readings off of.

What resistance are you aiming for and what gauge wire are you using?
