Hey Guys,

Here is a mod that I think might qualify as one of the smallest (total length wise). It was an oil lighter from Deal Extreme http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10079 , didn't know if it was usable until I got it. With a little sanding on the inside a cr2 fit right in. I modded it with a 3.6v CR2, 901 atty, manual tact switch, custom bushing and a spring from my daughters jewelry making kit (I know it so wrong to steal from kids...:))

I would also like to go on record that I think I am running out of stuff to mod....:(

Cheers

Very nice mod, Cisco! It's just so darned cute! ;)

I've actually got a tiny flashlight that I wanted to try modding. Mebbe I should send it to you since you're running out of things to mod! :D It uses three small button cell rechargeables and the beauty of it is that it was designed to recharge by sticking it into a cigarette jack! Probably wouldn't last much longer than my auto 901 battery, but I just wanted to try an "original" mod like you've been consistantly doing. :)

If its using button cells its probably to small to mod but send it over I'll turn it into something usefull....:D

Sorry if this appears twice. I posted and then went back and my post was on some other thread. Got back here to double check and it's not here, at least not yet.
My request. Is there a thread or post which gives step by step instructions, or has a video, on the basics on how to build these things???
If so, would you PLEASE post it because I'm tired of batteries completely dying on me so I plan on spending a lot of time in the future building some of these.
This one, by far, has got to be my favorite.

OK, its official this is not the smallest, now I have a challenge ahead of me...:D

knutselpeter did this one last year. It has a small battery extracted from an E-cig, and it recharges itself when you plug it in to a USB port.

Geeee...

That is so small i am not sure i would be able to make it work between my stumpy looking fingers.

Talk about miniaturization!
