MC Foreign Transaction Charge ???

Over the weekend I was checking my receipts against my MasterCard Statement. I had placed an order with Eastmall last month. That charge appeared fine. Immediately following it, was a 'Foreign Transaction Charge' of $4.95. I have ordered from overseas before, but always paid with PayPal and there were no additional charges.

Has anyone else received a MC charge like this?

Hil, when I go up to Canada and use my credit card I usually end up with an exchange fee on it. I think it depends on the card. I stopped using a cr.card up there for that reason. I haven't ordered from overseas for any of my PV stuff so I don't know about that.

That is a new one. Credit cards are alway looking for a new buck, congress did not think of that one.
