Thanks Nikea for your thoughts as always :) My raptor and cherry bomber have no anodizing in switch-parts, but the connection isn't fully stable unfortunetly(non-tight), hence, the posted non-fix, but better than nothing, workaround ;)

It doesn't get hot on my standard 0.1ohm builds... Also, since it's alu, I wanna try adding some noalox, although it's not alu-to-alu, because always after cleaning, it doesn't need as much wiggling for the first hour or so(the first 10 minuttes, no wiggling needed), so it actually seems like more of a corrosion issue than anything else, although it's just crazy to me that it should happen so fast, and then i'm hoping noalox will help on that... I've never used noalox before, just because I had no alu-to-alu connections... I changed the spring as first thing; I have 20g SS 316L DIY springs and now just gotten 18g solid copper from RG6 coax...

I wanna buy a raptor and cherry-bomber in copper as my next purchases, because I absolutely love these two mods and don't use any other at the moment, well, except a copper smpl at times and a SS smpl for when going out... I am a little leary over how heavy these will be, which was one of the reasons, in addition to cost, for getting the alu versions, but now I don't care and just want them...

I got my copper Raptor from ebay, apart from that i don't know.

I presume we can't use 18g Kanthal for the spring? my spring is pretty p poor and keeps collapsing .... :(
Well, as a quick workaround, but instead strip some RG6 coax cable(18g solid copper) or use e.g. SS316L or SS304... I didn't have any good RG6 around, so just bought 5 meters which is very cheap online, like a buck a meter(which is 3.3 feet). Check that it's solid copper in the specs and not copper-plating on inner-conducter...

Yeah, that's the negative of using 18g solid copper for springs... Use as little coils(rings or how to put it) as you can get away with... Some prefer to live with the added hardness for the better conductivity and others use SS wire instead for a lighter press... If you search a little, then there are some videos on youtube about making DIY springs of RG6 coax for mechs, so maybe you can check those also to see how they do it...

... Just checked a little, and sorry if you know them already:

Good luck mate! :)

With the RG6 i went with a spring of two wraps for the raptor and a three for the cherry bomber which worked out quite nice on the button presses.
I'm not sure if this is obvious but what i did to get the compression right was to open the springs up more than needed and then inserted into the button hole followed by the button and then fulled pressed the button.
If the springs are to snug on the button shaft they will snag and give a bad button which may jam
