Mech Battery Recommendation

Hi All,

After buying a Rogue Storm Clone other week, I'm hooked on mechs! Love the versatility, simplicity and style.

So today purchased a Kennedy 24 Ruby Authentic. Stunning mod.

Currently using my Samsung 30Qs (Only spares I had) that seem to work great in the Rogue on a 0.3 build but in the Kennedy found I had to put a 0.21 build in to get the power I wanted. Now I realise this is right on the 30Qs limit so after taking several pulls to make sure fired well, whipped battery out and it was already warm.

I only own 30Qs (x4) and HG2s (x4 in my GX350) so I'm needing a higher amp rated battery for my mechs. Checked Moochs chart and a 1500mAh seems like the safest option.

So what do people recommend? Sony VTC3? LG HB2, 4 or 6? Can't work out the difference between the last 3!

Be ordering from Fogstar so know they will be the genuine article.

I really love my LG HB4s (mustard), but have also had good luck with the Sony VTC5A

Good call with the VTC5A, 25A gives me a slight buffer on down to a 0.2 build with a slight improvement on battery life.

Just looked on Fogstar, unfortunately don't have the HB4s, only the 2 or 6.

I don't risk ordering from anyone else, been burnt before! (Not literally luckily!)

The 2s and 6s are fine... the 4s just have a slight edge in battery life...

I think I'm going to stick with 1500mAh, the 30amp is the safest option, and that's my primary concern. Got the GX for the battery life.

So is there really no difference between the HB2 and 6 at all?

I only use HB6's in my single 18650 tubes.

Cheers for the advice everyone.

Ended up ordering 2 HB6s. Arrived yesterday, working perfectly.

Only get around 3 hours out of the battery but nothing getting warm on a .23 and a .28 build.

Feeling much more comfortable now.

FogStar are UK Based, fantastic battery supplier. Always genuine, send you a spare wrap for if/when you need it and no matter how many you order always come in a protective case.

Must have bought over 15 from them now and everytime have been perfect. I tried Amazon once for some HG2s... Just didn't look or 'feel' right, threw them away after less than a day, could have been fine for all I knew but for sake of £10, why risk it?

I've used the b2,4 & 6, & I've noticed no difference.
When it comes to buying, my choice is what's in stock at the time..
