I have a nice little JM16 mod that I really like but the fire button starts to unscrew throughout the day. I was thinking about using plumbers' tape to get it to stay screwed in to the bottom contact but I'm not sure if that will mess anything up. Has anyone used this or is there something that would work better? Thanks.

I have a JM22, and I can tell that my button would come undone if I used it more .. I also think you will be ok with plumbers, although I don't know how permanent of a fix it will be. I have heard of some using loc tite to fix firing buttons, but I would only do that If I was certain of the throw adjustment, meaning that you would never need to shorten, or lengthen it again.

This is why I am hesitant to use loc tite although I know the throw is fine where I have it. I do like to take it apart for cleaning regularly & I thought I read that you couldn't get it apart if you use loc tite which I don't want. HST I used plumber's tape on another device with the same problem but I have had nonstop firing problems with that device & i wasn't sure if it was BECAUSE of the plumber's tape or because the device was a pos (I suspect the latter though because it's got more issues than just that one). I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause problems with this device. But if others have tried this & it's worked for them then I'll try it out & see how it goes. :)

Use blue or purple NOT red loctite.
