Mech Mod Advice...

Hey all!

I've finally decided to make the jump to a mechanical mod. Unfortunately, I can't spend the $$$ for an authentic mod.

I've been looking into the Sentinel M16 and also the MCV Panzer clones. Which in your opinion is a better buy?

Is there a clone that I am overlooking or that you would recommend?

It's been a tough choice deciding on what to buy!

Thanks for the help.:)

A mech mod is little more than a tube with a switch at one end and a 510 at the other. Pick one based on the type of switch it uses and the type of 510 it uses.

As for the clone part I would pick one made by a company that is known, hcigar, tobeco, etc.

If you get an unknown clone be aware that there is no quality guarantee unlesss the seller stands behind it.

I just got a 4 nines clone that will autofire when you set it down. I am about to see how the place I bought it feels about it.

The 4 nine is amazing just dont get the 1 from fasttech this uses a button top battery and the button sucks because the bottom threading is burred. Find a better dealer for the 4 niner mod you will love it.

btw i have the cronos, nemesis leyandra hydra original, stingray and about 4 others the 4niner is the only one i use . even bought it in a 26650 too would by either again.

I'd go with the Rai Launcher. It has a recessed button, so there's no locking ring. That makes life simple--no locking ring to get stuck, no need to endlessly lock/unlock. It has copper contacts, which is a plus, and it's built like a tank. I also have a brass m16, which is excellent. The throw is stiff enough that it'll easily take the weight of a battery+tank. Can't put it in a pocket or purse without locking it, though.

Both mods are pretty fool proof, and super easy to adjust, as they're telescopic. I haven't had misfires with either. imo it's best to get on FT and read both some reviews and discussions. Discussions are where odd issues about the mods show up.

Although I am not usually a big fan of clones, the Nemesis by Hcigar is not a bad choice for a starter mech. I loved it so much when I got mine that I ended up buying a legit nemisis that I have been using exclusively for almost a year now. They also make them in many different materials and finishes, and can be fairly easily found on eBay.
