Have good batteries, if you're looking to "blow clouds" get yourself
-AW IMR 18650 1600 MAH/24amp
-MKNE 18650 1500 MAH/20amp

Get an OHM Reader so you know what you are building and that your batteries are able to withstand it

Download a free OHM calculator on your phone

The rest is pretty much common sense, EFC has a lot of information about mech mods and suggestions, take the time to do research and take advice
Happy vaping

It's not just Batteries.... many lovers of mechs like to make you think their safe, but their just keeping their friends/enemies closer as the saying goes.

Mechs can be very dangerous, which is why I carry one for personal protection. Next time a buddy pisses you off, hit em with your mech, see if he finds it "Safe".

I think not.

The big Guns (gun/rifle associations) are working in conjuction with big puff on banning these devices.... They tell us how Mech PV's can be used to terrorize, used to hijack planes, and used to rise up against governments...

Please people don't take these warning lightly... many are stocking up on mech mods before they're banned "apparently for personal vaping use", but we know why they want them... Because they're dangerous.

Only danger if the nut behind them is loose. I've got lots of mechs. Also got a good supply of kicks and fuses. If you don't understand the math. Then you don't need a mech.

In regard to the harshness... it doubles nicotine strength so if you doing 6mg it hits like 12mg

This is an incorrect assumption.

Nicotine strength isnt going to magically double because the Ohms its vaporized at change from 2.4 to 0.8
12mg Nicotine is 12mg Nicotine.
What I believe is happening (and what you are assuming is a "doubling of strength") is that the lower Ohms vaporize the nicotine liquid into a finer particle mist. Where-in your mucus membranes absorb it faster. Giving you a bigger rush of nicotine.

Widow it was a straight troll. Nothing more. Not helpful in any way and completely unproductive.

Really VoodooZero,... a troll?

This thread has already concluded the OP's question quite well,

it was more a poke at the stretch that big tobacco is making to get them outlawed with a bit of sarcastic humour.

I'm pretty sure it's ok to have at some humour once and a while.

With these batteries, the difference between the best from the most reliable source and the worst is a few dollars.

Hear, hear. I myself neglected to heed similar advice and paid for it, though not as dearly as some, apparently. Perhaps I merely got what was coming to me for caving to my more parsimonious leanings. Buyer beware: unproven vendors on eBay/Craigslist have no compunction about selling you a bill of goods.

The bottom two (in the image above) are the genuine article. The topmost (AW sticker removed by me) is a fake. It's likely some low-end Li-Ion. Note the lighter-weight typeface, larger diameter wrapper hole, overall length, and more pronounced furrow behind the cap rim. Also, the color is similar to the older 1600 mAh in the middle, while contrasting with the more saturated, glossier 2000 mAh below (starker in real life). Lastly, the solid recycling symbol on the fake isn't a dead giveaway; I have an older, legit 2000 mAh that's also got a solid (its wrapper color also matching the 1600).

Despite the differing angle of the two images, it should be clear enough that the shape of the punch holes in the button tops are quite distinct. The real one is rounder, its leading edge more chamfered. The fake is more parabolic.

Sucker that I am, I also bought a couple fake '350s, which aren't pictured because I don't have any real ones on hand for comparison. Anyway, the point of all this is simple: identifying fakes will only become more difficult. So, like NicoHolic says, spend the extra $0.85 and go with a reputable vendor.

Sorry window. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful , but was trying to emphasize what you we're saying about the potential danger

np, I was just kidding around, I'm pretty light hearted like that. It's tough for me to make a post without some humour good or bad,, the biggest danger for me is dropping it on my toe.

Or forgetting to lock it and then put it in your pocket. And yes. They really do get VERY warm. Thought I was on fire.
