I'm getting a couple of Chi-Chi mechanical mods from a ECF co-op and am planning to use them primarily with rba's. I currently have a AGA-T+ and will be trying other rba's over the next few months. I will be exploring low resistance coils on the AGA-T. I'm thinking the Panasonic CGR18650CH will be the safest battery I can use for this as it is IMR and protected. Link for it is here.

Am I correct? Would you recommend anything else for this application? Different battery, or a combination battery and other safety device?

If it's the gray wrapped model, sometimes the wrap doesn't extend around the bottom edge. In some cases this could cause the mod to fire by itself depending on how the bottom cap is configured. Although it is probably a small minority of combinations that could cause this, it's a good idea to check it after tightening everything down. I don't think that applies to the Kamry KTS you're getting, but it may for other mods so I thought I should put it out there. In some cases simply flipping the battery upside down will solve it, which should only be done on mechanical mods. It's the only battery I know of where the wrap doesn't extend around to the bottom a bit.
