Is anyone else as dissatisfied with the mega eGo cartos as I am? Why do the vendors even sell them if they're so poorly constructed that you almost have to be double jointed to use the button that's off to the side, not lined up with the batt?
And then these vendors have the nerve to call them DOA...no warranty whatever.
So I'm out a nice chunk of money

Most vendors only warranty cartos or attys if they are DOA. Don't warranty them due to dislike of style.

to clarify... the style's fine...the fact that when i tried to unscrew the carto from the batt and all that came off was the filler part cuz the threaded atomizer part stayed on the batt threads and I had to use a pair of pliers to get it off is what the problem is... and a user shouldn't have to reach all the way to the left side of the batt to push the button...

Sounds like you really twisted that one on. I am using one now, and it lines up perfectly with the button on my ego. I could tighten it another 1/4 turn, but then it wouldn't be lined up, lol. There is no difference in vaping it this way or that, that I can tell. Try to being a little easier on you gear!

I will say though, of the 2 i ordered, one has a HORRIBLE burnt taste that won't go away, the other has been going strong for what seems like ever....

I like mine and will order more.

I'm glad yours lined up...mine didn't...and I didn't twist it on hard, I'm not physically capable cuz of arthritic hands. And the other problem is having to reach across the top of the unit to the right to even be able to reach the button. Please don't assume that I'm rough on my gear....your just lucky that you have properly constructed units.

You are not alone Oldbroad. I recently bought 10 of these and between the wife and I we have used 5 of these and out of those five 4 have come OFF the threaded end! My brother has also had problems with his as well. The alignment thing is a PITA but I can live with that but the POS falling off the threaded end is nothing short of BS! The ..... part is that these things work great if it wasn't for this Quality issue.
And no pseudus. I am not cranking these things down either. I would expect a person to be able to use these carto's without worrying about it falling apart with-in 5 minutes.
BTW... Where did you buy yours from? I got ours from LitecigUSA. I'm wondering if they have a big batch of defective XL carto's.

Hi vaps, I got mine from Vaporkings.I'm thinking the suppliers bought them without study or their own trials, just put 'em up for sale and marked 'em DOA, so if they were no good, it's the purchasers loss, not theirs...crappy way to do business....

Ya, it's a pain, but what cha gonna do? I really like the whistle tip of it.

Cheers,
otrpu

ya, that's why I ordered them instead of the 510 cartos...all the juice they hold and the whistle tip... but NOT when the whistle tip doesn't line up with the batt , and I have to do contortions with my fingers or my mouth just to vape on them
AND be super careful when screwing them onto the batt

Wow, I guess I've been extremely fortunate. All the ones I've used (at least 20, probably 30) have been just fine and dandy... all but one little lonessome fella that was DOA.

Sometimes they line up pretty good, like the one poster mentioned, with just a 1/4 turn off snug.
Other times, it's just off enuff that it's fun teaching this old dog new tricks. Wow, I can actually use this without it having to line up perfectly afterall. Same with the USB eGo, I am now a thumb pusher as well. Never thought this day would happen, but it has. It's nice not having to be such a finicky perfectionist anymore. (sure took me long enough tho)

As far as them coming apart, I've never ever had one fall apart in any way shape or form. Is that odd for me, or is it odd for you? So far, so good, for me. I get mine at Rob's, at goodprophets.com

You might want to email the places you bought yours from and let them know how awful their batches are. They can't do anything about it, if they don't know anything about it. Hopefully it was just those two batches ... and hopefully the vendors can ship them back to the factory and get replacements.

You ain't a real vaporer (is that a real word? lol) until you can vape on an Ego doing 75mph on a Harley with one hand texting someone and the other on the Throttle! LOL
That is a good idea to communicate this QA problem back to the suppliers. I don't like to piss and moan to suppliers about such inexpensive items but after re-reading this thread I realize that I have already ...... and moaned but to the wrong folks. lol I'll be sending them an e-mail just to give them a heads up about this QA problem. I hope they can/will do something about it with their supplier.

I'm glad I am not the only one who loves these - in fact I just bought 40 more in a co-op buy from Janty. The one I am vaping on now has lasted 3 weeks so far and is still going strong. I have never had them taste off or come apart. And, like you, I have also learned that buttons can be pressed from different sides and it does't bother me to do so. In 6 months of using 510 cartomzers; I have probably tried most of what is out there (can't stand ce2s) - I love these the best. I even cut off the skirt on a couple so they will fit on my favorite box mod (Bartleby). I did have one horrible one - but it was only one out of many good ones.

Uma...I have written a a" ticket" as Vaporkings calls them, 3 in fact...I called them, got the voicemail, asked them to call me...I've sent SSRob a pm...I've stated the problem on the Vaporkings forum, it's been well over a week and NO response from this vendor. I don't intend to send them back till I hear from them....so I guess I'm stuck with them.

good luck with the email, Vaps, I've tried to contact them numerous times to no avail...and he says on his site that he can't solve a problem if he doesn't know about it...yah right...

haha! I don't have a Harley, but it sure works on my Grissly... and it feels like 75mph on my bumpy rutty mountain climb road. Us Vaporers <--- it's a word if we declare it a word right?!--- rock! I couldn't do it without my Lanyard tho, I must admit. Love my Lanyard. (from COV)

haha, I've done that for my SB! Also use the adaptors method to save time.
It's so good to hear others reporting happiness with these cartos. Love how easy they are to draw too, just a nice little inhale and plums of vapor. Thanks for sharing your insights! I was beginning to fret that maybe they've gone south with the last productions off the press. They better not!! But, I have faith that Rob won't stand for it and will shove them where the sun don't shine if the manufacturers won't replace like they should. Methinks we better keep an eye on these manufactureres...

I haven't purchased from VK as of yet, but even so, their deaf ear quite surprises me. You've certainly taken all the right steps towards a happy outcome, and now it's in their ballpark. How many others have reported this same issue on their forum here at ECF? I wish I had more helpful info for you. That really sucks to get a bad bunch, and sucks even more that the vendor is ignoring your input. Maybe try again ... Big Hugs to you, because you should be sitting there vaping with a big smile on your face like the rest of us that like these cartos.

Oh man.... You haven't seen anything yet! I sent my supplier an email this morning and I got a very fast reply. I've sent them my reply back and am waiting to see what they say this time before I air my dirty laundry for all to see. Let's just say I AM :censored: ...... right now and will probably loose my cool here on ECF and get kicked out for bad language. And the ..... part is I wasn't even ...... until I just read there response.

More to follow....

Update: Ok.... I just got the response from Litecig and they said they had "misunderstood" my original email to them and apologized. They stated that they were not aware of this problem as this is the first time they have heard about it. And I asked them to be sure to report this problem to their supplier in hopes that this issue can be caught and resolved before any more defective units are shipped.
I was going to post all the correspondences for all to see but I feel no need to cause harm to any company that is willing to help their customers as they are doing for me. Even though I had not asked for replacements they are sending some out tomorrow.

So... As I told them in my last reply, Thanks to there great customer service they have just kept my future business.
Now, do you think they kept my business for $14 worth of product (that I wasn't really looking for) OR because they have the moral principles to stand behind the products they sell?

Thank you Litecigusa for listening to your customers.
