Not sure what this is but I had a few comments my breath smelled like plastic. I guess it's sort of like not being able to smell garlic on your skin sweating afterwards.

Could this be PG staying in the throat lingering? I would go with VG now just because propelene glycol is basically anti freeze and a chemical.

Anyone else had comments about their breath smelling wierd?

i must correct you on the facts PG or propylene glycol is not antifreeze it is in fact a generally recognized as safe compound by the FDA and is used in toothpaste and mouthwash for example. Vg or vegetable glycerin is a derivate of a certain plant material as is used as a alternative sweetener.

This is an example on how the public is swayed by the FDA BS. Propylene Glycol is in fact an ingredient in anti freeze, but it is also in food products, and is even in medical saline solution.

If the Government says that propylene glycol was found in cat turds, would you believe e-cigs have cat turds in them?

Don't get taken in by the FDA's play with words.

PG is banned for use in cat food, at least in the U.S. :p

In light of this new data, CVM amended the regulations to expressly prohibit the use of propylene glycol in cat foods.

I believe it's ethylene glycol that is anti-freeze we use is our vehicles.

My original question was if that plastic breath was from PG and or where it comes from. I don't think it's coming from the battery since it's only pressed down for a couple of seconds.

Also I'm not asking if PG is safe or not and I'm not a fan of the FDA at all in the least. The question is if anyone had this and if VG was more agreeable, Don't really care if it burns out the atty sooner or not.

Earlier today I was pointing out a possible design flaw that could be helpful. So far all that I have seen from you is trying to hound users here and never admit to a mistake, Ok maybe once. It's been so long but I even forgot the name of your company seriously. Can't remember but will if i see it mentioned.

So whatever problem you have take it up with the chinese that make your attys or whatever that fall apart mkay? Funny you sit here and watch every post don't you? Don't you have something better to do like play super mario or something like that?

I think you are still bitter over the dispute we had before.

This thread made me laugh for more reasons than one.

Just so you know. You aren't supposed to Light your e-cigs.

Let the batteries do the work and maybe that will reduce your plastic breath problems. :D

Really? It is? I mean I knew it was IN antifreeze, but that means that it basically IS antifreeze?? I mean, water is in antifreeze too, by your reasoning that must make water basically antifreeze as well.

No, but I don't go around breathing in people's faces though. Maybe it's your cartridge melting that's flavoring your breath.

A hot atty that close to a plastic cart just doesn't make sence, as others have suggested metal or glass would make a lot more sence when it comes to heat. It's a win win when it comes to making ecigs better right. For example you wouldn't want a carberator made of plastic either right?

Just a quick comment in case anyone is interested- I read several trials that were done with PG and animals and although mice, dogs and I think rabbits didn't have any ill effects, cats did. That is why it is not allowed in cat food. As an FYI also - there was a test done where mice lived in a PG vapor environment for several months and when influenza virus was introduced none of the mice got sick. The other mice not subjected to the PG vapor and exposed to the virus all died. In the 30's (I think it was) the were adding PG vapor to the air circulation in hospitals to try and cut down the transmission of illnesses as it had been determined to have germicidal properties. I am curious if the
long term vapers have had many colds/flu since starting vaping.
