I have 5 furry babies! A female Akita, she is the mother to us all, a male Boston Terrier, a male mixed Maltese/wirehaired terrier--all of them are 8 yrs old, 2 male chihuahuas--one is 5 the other 3 yrs old and a male Maine .... cat--who is bigger than half of the dogs! He is 6 yrs old. He loves to antagonize the dogs. My picture looks like my mixed breed doggie!

between the dogs and the kids it's always crazy at my house
I still have 4 children at home plus the oldest is always stopping by with my grandson :)

But Tanto our Parrot can be a real pain at times, he loves to talk and never shuts up LOL

That's more than impressive! :thumb:

There's a Pet Supplies shop near where I live and they own a parrot. The first time I walked in there I didn't see it.

Picture in your mind the sexiest, most sultry female voice you ever heard saying "Hello darling..."

OMG. Who's that? 8-o 8-o 8-o

I cracked up laughing when I realised it was the parrot. :D

I currently have Two dogs. both of them have happy stories How I came about them.

First one is Sunnie - [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Chihuahua, We got her thru my Fiance's sister who was working at an adult dance club ( she worked the store not the pole ) :). ANyway it was storming in downton Chicago when the big bouncers outside saw this little dog dodging cars in the street.. they picked her up and gave the dog to her.. She then brought her home where we agreed to hold on to her for 1 night til we could go the next day to a shelter.. well it has been almost 2 years now :)

Second is Coco - Min Pin, After getting Sunnie and looking to buy our first home we ( more liek my Fiance ) wanted to get another dog,
We found IMPS ( Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. (IMPS) )
And that is where we found coco.. What is so great is these dogs are both the complete oppisite of eachother but enjoy one thing together. sleeping all freakin day!

Ok, we can't have a thread about our 4-legged babies without me adding mine. These are in addition to the ones Riddle80 posted. (My 4-legged Grandkids)

My babies: The dark (Tabby I think) is Cleo- short for Cleopatra, because she thinks she is THE QUEEN. When I rescued her, she was still wearing her jewels and eyeliner, and she always likes to be perched higher than everyone else.

The blonde Tabby is L.S. (Stands for Little S**t) and he is just that. That's all I could say the first 2 weeks I had him. He was a gift from my daughter after Conway Kitty was killed by a speeding car.

I have a cat and a Husky. My husky stays in the kitchen. She sheds hair real bad. We had to get a fence to make her stay in the kitchen LOL. I got her at the animal shelter. They was going to put her down ,the next day. I know we should make her stay outside but, she is spoiled. Anyways Salem is the cat and Jenna is the Husky. Both are spoiled rotton and don't get along with each other.

Tex, Spider, you have lovely Greys. Here's Mike:

The last two are a new game of his. I gave him a toy ball, and he started trying to stand on it. He starts out with one foot on the ball, then puts his beak down for balance while he lifts the other foot up, then lifts up his head and wobbles a bit before falling off.

I'm trying to get better pics of him, and hopefully a video of him balancing on the ball, but he HATES the camera, and attacks it if he sees me holding it, so I have to keep it out of his sight. Makes it a bit of a challenge. ;)

Don't have any animals at present. My cat is gone a year and I'd feel like I'd be cheating on her if i got another so soon. Tried to keep a slug that I found at work but it died before I had the chance to give it a proper home (more like disintegrated). So I don't have a list, but I do have the best (and probably only) story you'll ever read about a blind cat called Homer (promise):

Night of the Hunter - Gwen Cooper - Open Salon

OMG, DC!8-o You sure know how to find some incredible prose. That is a phenomenal story, but should come with a warning of some sort.

Warning, this story contains much drama, a tear or thirty, and may cause an indescribable longing for a blind kitty to hug. Reader discretion is advised.

I am owned by 3 cats. They each have 3 names, so that when they get into trouble I can call them by their full name like my mother did with us when we were in trouble. Raven Fey Jordan is a black male adopted from the local humane society - he will be 9 years old this Spring. Fianna Morgaine Wigglebutt is a white, polydactile female with spots that have tabby markings - she will be 7 years old in April. Mykael Thundercloud Cuddlebug is a gray male we adopted from another local no-kill shelter - he will be 2 in May.

In case you are wondering the first two names are based on their appearance and magickal properties; the third names are based on their behavior once we got them home. Raven had the vertical leap of Michael Jordan, so his was Jordan. Fianna wiggled her tush before she pounced on anything, so hers was Wigglebutt. Myka just loved to cuddle right into your face and fall asleep, for hours on end, do his was Cuddlebug.

In the magickal way we follow, Raven is the messenger of the gods, Michael is an archangel - Mykael is a variation of that. Fianna and Fey were after the faery folk, and Morgaine after Morgan LeFey.

Getting pics to share with you all is tough. Raven loves the camera - I get nothing from him but closeups of one eye and a set of whiskers. Fianna hates the camera - pics of her with her back to the camera or ears flat ready to attack. Myka won't sit still - blurry grey spots. Still trying.

Thanks, Trumpy for the chance to share. Pets are always such fun to share with each other.

Thanks, Leaford, for the pics of Mike. He is such a celeb around here - almost as much as you are.
