I'm not into menthol, but my sister is and I recently got her to try a PV. I'm wondering if there's any good menthol suppliers (taste like menthol cigarettes instead of mint) out there besides Halo. 30 mls is an awful lot for a new user to invest in.

30 ml would probably last about 2 weeks, or did me when i switched and I was a heavy smoker. I think when you make the switch you should atleast give it 2 weeks or you might as well not try.

I thought the menthol over at revolvercig.com (30mL/$13.99) was good... I also tried the menthol over at myfreedomsmokes.com (20mL/$10.95), its also good, but not as strong. Whatever you do, do not try the tobacco menthol flavor at vapure.com, not only did it not taste like menthol, but it tasted like dirt and the liquid has wierd crap floating in it - not to mention you have to apply a ton of force just to get the liquid to come out of the bottle (thought it was gonna explode in my face).

Also, if shes a menthol smoker (like myself), i would recommend getting menthol drops from juicyliquid.com to add a little extra kick to the menthol.

I've heard good things about the menthol over at totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk, but they are over priced IMO.

I used to smoke a pack a day and 24mg strength has done well.

Go to Totally Wicked. They have my favorite menthol. You can buy it in smaller bottles than 30ml.

Forget about Halo. Their juices suck.

That is an opinion and nothing else. The reviews for Halo flavors have accumulated more posts and replies than almost any other topic currently in this section in quite a short time. Its really a big hit. If you are unsatisfied with Halo, that is quite a shame as I really have found nothing to compare it to whatsoever. It is my one and only choice for liquid anymore.

You could get her a 5 piece 5 ml sampler set at wordupecig.com for 20.99 free shipping. They have a good amount of menthol's my fav is their New Newport in VG. I would recommend you get her some in PG and VG in case she has an issue with one.
diyflavorshack.com has the best menthol's I have tasted so far and I have tried many Her Shacks555 menthol in VG doubler is the bestest so far for me!
If Halo ever gets a sampler I will try them. I can't commit to such a large bottle in the case I do not like it.

There are tons of different ones out there to try. Myself I'm not a menthol fan either but I know when I had my sister make her first e-cig purchases she ordered some menthol cartos and Dekang menthol liquid and a bottle of Halo Newpure and while she liked the others she said the Halo Newpure was definitely much better and closer to the Newports she has smoked for years.

As someone else mentioned there is a coupon code that knocks the price down and also I'm certain if she doesn't like it she wouldn't have a problem selling or trading it off in the classifieds section here on ECF.

That's a pretty broad statement. Have you personally tried every one of their liquids?

Even if you have, the statement is obviously unnecessary as not only are there many people who like it very much but also everyones tastes are different. So for you to tell anyone to dismiss any vendors liquids just because you don't like them yourself is unwise.

Well said guys I just got my first bottle of Halo juice on Saturday (Menthol Ice) and it is incredible...I mean absolutely amazing stuff. I love it. In fact, I love it so much I gave away my remaining 16 pre-filled cartridges (4 different flavors) that I got with my e-cig originally to somebody here on the forum.

As to the original question asked by the OP, I have to say that the only other menthol flavor I've tried besides Halo was the Menthol that came with Volcano e-Cig. It wasn't bad, but Halo is MILES ahead of not only that menthol flavor, but also the other 4 flavors that my e-Cig came with. It really is good stuff.

Peoples taste vary so widely it is difficult to make suggestions. I smoked Kools and Newports for more years then I want to think about. The Halo Cool is an unbelievably clean fantastic tasting liquid, but it did not give me enough of a menthol kick. I started mixing half Halo Cool and half Totally Wicked and discovered a great balance.

Other times I may want the lighter Halo Cool un-mixed or the Totally Wicked un-mixed and have the option available. Totally Wicked is a really strong menthol.

I know I've tried the freebie menthol from myfreedomsmokes, and while I love their tobacco flavors, the menthol tastes like mint with no tobacco taste to it at all. My sister still doesn't believe in smoking these other flavors so she is looking for something that tastes like her tobacco cigarettes....I'm not sure the brand, some kind of generic label because of the price hikes.

Maybe I'll take a look again at Totally Wicked...but their site is so confusing. I've looked on their site a couple of times because of the rave reviews, and can't ever find anything but something that requires you to fork over $30 or more just to try them out.

Also, I'm not finding the coupon code section. Can anyone tell me which forum heading they are under?

I have read so much over the last month or so about Halo. I am a menthol smoker for 30 years and I finally come to being able to mix my own menthol flavor out of a combo of the cheap juices. Very happy with my mix of Nuport, Tobacco and some straight glycerin, has done me well for months of trying different percentages to get something I could truly enjoy. Not to minty and a good TH with blooms of vapor.

So I broke down and order some Halo Newpure and Menthol Ice. First I tried the Newpure for a day, nice vapor but I thought weak on the TH and not much on the taste. The 2nd day I tried the Menthol Ice, nice TH and I thought a bit harsh on the menthol when compared to the Newpure. Then I tried my old own mixed juice I had enjoyed so much, well after one carts worth of that... it got all thrown out. I can not believe what I had been using and was so happy with for so long was just horrible now.

I am a convert and I have now found the Newpure to be my favorite for my daily vaping. I do find myself taking a 10ml bottle and going maybe 8ml of Newpure and then topping it off with Menthol Ice as a 2nd flavor to use just for a little bit more kick once in awhile. But now there is no looking back and it shall be Halo all the way.

Without question, if you want to convert a menthol smoker to vaping get them ULTRApure Menthol from innovapor.com. They have a coupon for 20% off for ECF member as well. I have Halo's Mentol Ice and Newpure which I really liked, don't get me wrong they were the best menthol I've had up until this point. ULTRApure and Halo both are at the top as far as quality, IMO, and both are made in the U.S. However ULTRApure edges Halo's menthols in both throat hit, flavor sustain, and vapor production. On top of that its VG, not PG, which is a big plus for many. It is the closest thing to a menthol cigarette out there.

Could try a DIY solution, juicy juice sells bottles of liquid menthol for 4 bucks. Just add a few drops to whatever e-juice you have around.

I know you said no halo, but having smoked 2 packs of kools for 18 years, the halo menthol really satisfies.

Taste is subjective tho, just really have to cross your fingers and jump on in.

If you want the more robust flavor "more menthol" I would suggest going with the Menthol Ice from Halo. I like the Newpure a little bit more due to fact the menthol is a little less and it has some great underling flavors and complexities to it. Do not get me wrong, the Menthol Ice is not all just mint it has a full flavor to it as well. That is why I normally take a 10ml and mix a little Ice to the Newpure for a little bit more menthol for me when required.
