"Full discharge" comes quite a bit after the flashing lights; it switches off with some power still in it, because if then you don't charge it for a few weeks, self-discharge might lead to a full discharge. But that is not a matter of hours or even days.

If neither charger nor battery are defective, it is no problem to leave them in the charger overnight. I always do that.

It has been my experience that the 510 USB passthrough does not offer the same performance as the stock Joye 510 (or Titan, Dura, etc.). The eGo/Tornado performs better than the Joye 510, so I would say that - in my opinion - it will not offer the same performance as the eGo/Tornado.

Did you remember to clean the thread and charge the battery? Maybe that will give it some more power!

I have the dura-c pass through and an ego.

The ego provides more power for sure.

When connected and run for "cleaning" my atty's the passthrough
works, but with an ego battery connected it works better (you can see the coil turn red where it doesn't on a pass through)

In fact I had two atomizers that would not burn off the crud and work good again until I connected them to an ego battery. the passthrough just didn't cut it as it uses a smaller battery.

You have to try it, you will be amazed how a janty 801 classic/tawa atty or joye302 do perform with an ego battery.
It performs waaaay better than the stick+801.
great throat hit, great vapor and great taste, the vapor it's just less warm than the standard configuration with 510 though.
Unfortunately you can't keep the cover with this configuration.
Battery life is unsane on a ego+jantyclassic.
You just need to maintain your classic or classic tawa atomizer in good conditions using this method and you're set.

Good info...thanks.

What's insane batt life??? like 5-6 hours? more??

I've been eyeing the various pipe options out there and while I would want one just to feed my grins and giggles nerve, there isn't a real need to have one over a regular e-cig. Still, with a bit more usefulness thrown into the design, a pipe could become more attractive. Here's a few notions to throw out on the table...

1. Use the large size of the pipe bowl to add an advantage of using this device over standard cig shapes. For example, have the pipe bowl serve as a liquid reservoir where the user pushes down on the LED ashcap and that feeds the atomizer with liquid held in the pipe bowl. The bowl could hold, say, 5ml of liquid. The user pumps the ashcap two or three times to feed a few drops directly onto the atomizer. This makes the pipe more attractive to those that would otherwise have no interest in a pipe design.

If this is too involved, then simply make the bowl hold a small 3ml or 5ml custom shaped bottle of liquid that the user can remove to drip onto the atty or top off a cartridge. The base of this special bottle is actually the visible portion of the ashcap and the LED will shine through the bottle to still illuminate the ashcap.

2. Another variation of the liquid bowl concept is simply designing a pipe bowl that will attach to the end of a standard e-cig, thus making it appear like a pipe, but the bowl is actually a liquid reservoir. The user simply detaches the bowl and uses it to drip or refill a cartridge.

3. Develop a pipe that has it's own stand. It could have to tabs that fold into the body while in use, but the user can easily flip the legs out (sort of the way an airplane uses landing gear) and the pipe will now stand on its own.

4. Develop a reverse exhaust system that will allow a user to gently blow back into the mouthpiece some of the vapor they draw and it will exit through vents around the ashcap in the bowl thus giving the illusion it is actually functioning like a standard pipe.

5. From the 'let's be goofy' department, have the ashcap perform a dual function such a watch. Take a draw and instead of the ashcap just lighting up an LED, it turns on a digital display of the time.

6. Make the stem of the pipe have a telescopic design to allow the pipe to be somewhat more portable.

Is there any difference in vapor production or flavor between these two? I prefer the Jantystick form factor and I like the built-in pass-through. Battery life isnt' a major issue to me as I'll be using it primarily at home, and my other e-cig on the go.
I have both (2 of ea) and the eGo wins hands down, every time. Don't get fooled by the pass-thru. Like all JoyE devices you will be vaping at 3.1 volts regardless and you are vaping off the battery not the USB. Although, yes it can be used while re-charging.

They are two separate devices that are diametrically opposed. The vapour producing and TH unit is the eGo. The milder calmer unit is the Stick. Sometimes I like relaxing in the evening with the Stick. Most times I sit at the tube with my 801 direct passthru plugged to the wall. I do prefer the 801 at 5V. My stick is always with me when I leave the house when I know I will be in stealth vaping situations, because it can easily pass off as a "medical vaporiser".

I have the 801 to 510 adapter for the stick and that performs extremely well. It is like having a different PV altogether. It produces good TH and great vapour while conceding a litle flavour. Not suitable for stealth applications however. That's the job of the 801.

Hi, been thinking about trying the same thing as I'm a long-time Stick/801 user. How's the batt life with the eGo batt???

I take it you also don't use the cone...or does it fit over the 801???
Batt life is 6-8hrs for heavy vapers compared to 2.5-3 hrs on the stick.

One of the advantages of the eGo although many will dis-agree is the cone assy. Using the 801 is using a high mAh battery with an 801 that is all. A 3.7 simple box mod for under $15 can accomplish that.

Now a LR atty on the eGo with the cone assy, well... it needs to be experienced.

Thanks for the info...that's really lame, I didn't realize you're actually vaping off the battery. I will probably go for the eGo at some point, though i'm having fun with my 901+KR808 battery at the moment.
