It came in the mail today. When I first put it in it didn't work too well. I had to do that Janty Stick thing like you do with the 801 atty's - you know the drill, screw it in, back it off, twist it again etc. Once it was seated correctly it worked okay...I guess.
I have to say that it doesn't put out the vapor quite as much as the same 510 atty on a 510 batt. It's close.. real close though. I measured the resistance of the atty alone (2.9 ohms) and then on the adapter (3.1 ohms). So there is a very slight increase in resistance but it's marginal.
So now to the good part! As many of you know I've been struggling with the 801 atty/cart system on the JS since the day I got it. I've been down every road trying to make those damn 801's work. You name it, I tried it - brass screen, blue foam, ptb, folded ptb, reduced poly, cut cart etc etc etc. Always no wicking or flooding. Came real close with Blue Foam (which works PERFECT in all my 510's).
But now I'm FINALLY at peace with my stick!
(uhm..maybe I could have worded that a bit differently)
Anyway, it's a real pleasure to enjoy my $80 investment for the first time. The 510's work well, I have a standard for all my atty's/carts now and I really like the round mouthpiece.
Thanks Janty!! Glad you finally made it so the JS works!!!
