I just thought of something, wonder if someone tried it.
After using cotton micro coils for a while now in my other attys, i want to try using my aga-t2 again.

So i was thinking of cotton covered with a layer of mesh and a micro coil.

i think many of us have tried this, nothing out of the ordinary here, even mesh and coil is ok, the versa dripper is designed around the mesh wick concept, after a few mesh wicks in my dripper i have found i prefer good old silica/ecowool/cotton

Well usually my mesh builds didnt contain any cotton inside

I don't run my genesis style tanks much anymore but when I do I build them just like a dripper. I wrap my micro coil, install it and do the whole pulse and pinch to get it glowing evenly. Then I roll my cotton wick and insert it. I normally use enough cotton to just reach the tank, I don't run it down into the liquid. Every few pulls I'll give it a little tilt to resoak the cotton. Works great for me in single and dual coil setups just have to make sure you hold your device so that the wicks are in the liquid when you tilt.

I decided to skip the mesh.
I'm made a normal micro coil and stuck the cotton wick down the tank slowly, no prob.
Works like a charm.

Folks have tried it. I haven't ever seen any 'Oh wow!' reports of it. I've never tried it personally. I can't see where there would be any advantage to it, over just mesh.
