Alright, so I got my T2 about 2 weeks ago, and started fiddling with EVERY build I could go. Used 325 PRE-ROLLED ss mesh, with 28g to make 0.8ohms, and most of the time it didn't wick well, when it did, the vapor production was poor. I then tried 400 pre-rolled ss mesh, and same thing, it wicked a bit better, but still the vapor production is way below par. I also tried a single micro coil and dual micro coil,(0.9ohms) with cotton wick, and it doesn't seem to wick well. When I used the mesh, I made sure I wasn't suffocating the mesh with the coil, but I think since I got the mesh pre-rolled and oxidized they are a bit tight? Not too sure, the cotton I have no idea, I think I'm rolling them too tight so it's not wicking to the coil that well. I tried these builds on a dna20 box mod, and a k100, vaping Bobas Bounty. Still no luck, I've read about drilling the air hole to 3/32, not sure if that will help that much.

I have tried a few different builds in my t2 to vape Boba's. Nothing has been as satisfying as just dripping it in my Igo-l. I drilled the air hole to 3/32" and regret it. Way to airy.

Are you tipping the atomizer as you vape? it's necessary with this style of atomizer to get it to wick. Especially with something thick and gooey like Boba's.

Sent from my recliner with a spatula

If it doesn't wick well, that's one reason vapor production will be off. The finer the mesh, the better it wicks as you found out :thumb:. 28g at 0.8ohms is enough power in a mechanical mod to run a AGA-T just fine (for my taste). I also find 28 gauge Kanthal is a good choice here. I use 27 gauge, but the difference is irrelevant.

I also tried a single micro coil and dual micro coil, (0.9ohms) with cotton wick, and it doesn't seem to wick well.

I have not tried micro coils with cotton in my AGA-T, but from my experience with cotton in other devices I know it wicks extremely well. Much better than SS. With both cotton and SS tilting the device so gravity aids wicking makes a huge difference. Too much cotton or too tight a wrap on it will definitely choke the wick and performance will be off immediately.

I tried these builds on a dna20 box mod, and a k100, vaping Bobas Bounty. Still no luck, I've read about drilling the air hole to 3/32, not sure if that will help that much.

So, using SS mesh, the easiest way I've found to get thick juices to work well is to roll a slightly hollow wick and tilt when you want juice flow. It's not the most elegant solution, but I don't care about elegant when I want my vape to be great :thumb:.

Regarding air hole size, the more power you apply to the coil the bigger it needs to be. If your air flow is too low, you lose on vapor production, your vape will become warmer and the whole RBA will heat up when you vape for a while, specially if you chain vape. I typically run my AGA-T at about 0.6 ohms and I drilled the air hole to 2 mm, just under 3/32", and I like that. This has nothing to do with a preference to airy or tight draw. If you're going to put more power to the coil you need more air flow.
