Hey guys,

When making a new wick, I (and everybody it seems) applies juice to the torched wick and lights it on fire several times...

I dont want to use any of my good juice, so I figured I'd DIY a juice solely for use during the oxidation process.

This got me to wondering what the ideal mix would be, or if using a pure pg or vg would be sufficient?

Are there other things I could add that would optimize oxidation, that I normally wouldn't put in a juice to be vaped? (like sugar for example... )

I know the amount used is minimal, and considering this is something rarely done, even more so... even if I make 5ml, I'll get to add another tool to the tool box... "oxidizing solution" :p

Cheers!

I guess it depends on how deeply you get into RBA's, because I've burned through the better part of 30 ml's since september... lol.

VG liquid doesn't saturate the wick as easily, but I'm convinced that it works better as an additional layer of carbon. Avoid using any strong flavorings or strong menthol juices, because they'll linger long after the flame dies out.

I now use some old VG that's close to its expiration- unflavored, zero nic usp VG
