Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but I would like to see a uniform and standard method of listing PG/VG concentrations. Some vendors state their liquids are 70/30 but which is it?

If it became an industry standard to ALWAYS have the first number referencing PG and the second number VG it would sure make it easier on us.

A further complication is that some vendors actually fail to maintain uniformity throughout their own sites ... sometimes showing first number PG and other times the second number is PG.

Thanks! Now I feel better ;-)

Maybe it's time for ISO to step in. I know, a PITA. Been there, done that. But I agree it would be nice to have standards in some areas. Isn't it bad enough each piece of equipment goes by six different names for the exact same thing?

And not just diacetyl, but any/all of its related ketones!

Ooooh, I had already known about diacetyl and usually do the hunt down on a juice vendors site to see if they are diacetyl free but I don't know about the "related ketones" - what specifically would those be? I've never seen anyone who says they are diacetyl free go on to mention any other ingredients they avoid putting in their juice.

What's in YOUR E-Juice? Good read here pertaining to some of these issues.

Johnson Creek lists their ingredients for anyone with the motivation to click on the button on their website. That said, they were downloading some new info recently (that is essentially worthless) and in doing so, they deleted the ingredient list. I brought this to their attention last week and they thanked me and said they would get it back up. I just looked and it's still not up. They probably contract with an IT guy who shows up once in awhile and ticks off a "to-do" list. So I suspect eventually they will get their ingredient list back up. When they do, I want to go through it with a fine toothed comb. Much of it might look like Chinese to me so I may encourage others who are more inclined to decipher gobbly guck to help out. I'll keep you posted. As far as I know, JC is one of the few vendors who will broadcast their ingredients.

Just as a note: Im not a vendor but I do alot of website work. The majority of the commerce sites dont easily give a method to effectively reward frequent buyers. Most of them are clunky or completely useless in terms of actually doing it. The extreme difficulty alot of vendors have with CC processing severely limits which cart software they can use. Ive consulted several vendors on sites and rewards are something all of them want. Its just a matter of how.

One, that ive only seen recently, that works very well, is the new system madvapes has on their site. It works well and is very simple to use.

All of that said, I totally agree. :) I think in the coming year we will see alot more vendors migrating around through different carts. The carts that work cost a good bit but in the end will keep customers.

There are a couple of sites I use that give reward points that can be used in addition to coupon codes and gives discounts and free items for points. This is a great way to reward frequent buyers. It also is a good way to drive sales on items you want to move out of inventory by offering points on them...

*pops in with more praise for EC Blend*

I recalled reading it but i just found it again, thought i would post it here What's in E-Liquid?

ECBlend uses only FDA approved and pharmaceutical grade ingredients in our E-Liquid products. (Note we are referring to our ingredients. The FDA intends to regulate e-cigarettes under tobacco laws. (Public Statement, FDA))
Our flavorings are completely natural wherever possible. (Some flavors are artificially flavored, just like food flavorings and are safe to vape.) Our flavorings do not contain Diacetyl or ingredients that might lead to trace amounts of Diacetyl. We do not use Diethylene Glycol in any of our E-Liquid products.

ECBlend uses only 100% USP Food Grade Kosher Propylene Glyocol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG). (There are no animal by-products in either our PG or VG.)

Also, I think my shipment from them got stepped on. Literally stepped on, lol. So I had a little bit of leakage from my bottle of banana pudding. It completely saturated the label to the point where it became transparent. The colored inks ran, but the black they used for the important information was still completely readable, no watercolor effect. I pulled the label off anyway and sharpied it because i can't have even that much nicotine on my hands with a baby running around.

Also they replaced the standard dropper tips with skinner ones on all three sizes I ordered so I was able to fill my tanks without busting out my ghetto fabulous q-tip-tube-glued-on-medicine-dropper syringe.

The more I order from these guys the more impressed I am.

Now brb, dripping my new sample flavors.

How'd ya'll like to receive a dripping, broken chernobyl package like this?

Notice this is a USPS mailer for flat documents, not liquids. It is unpadded. (My carrier was just ecstatic about this. NOT)
This is the kind of thing, IMHO, is what is going to one day soon, put the entire vaping community at risk in terms of our privileges.

(And, before you blame the Post Office, the item that leaked was not wrapped, bubbled or otherwise....it was just in there, flopping around)

I'll tell ya later about my lcleanup adventures, both down at my mailbox by the road, and then at my sink as I unpackaged.

Just interested in your thoughts---?

There are absolutely no reasons for this carelessness and utter disregard for customer's money, products, and sanity! The worst part is that a vendor can say, "oh, we are sending your mail Priority" as if that means proper and more appropriate shipping. To ship Priority and to use Priority as a selling point, but then turn around and package liquid in a document envelope is deplorable. This kind of stuff is why this thread is here. I am so sorry for you and I DO NOT CARE WHO THIS VENDOR IS, if any vendor does this, they need to be stopped ASAP.

Racehorse, I'm "liking" these posts not because I like what happened to your order and your related misfortunes, but rather because you brought it to our attention and as the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Certain vendors really do need to exercise more care in packaging their products.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU X'D OUT THAT VENDOR'S NAME.

Don't you think you should warn the rest of us to NOT use them??? I had a leaking shipment as well, in fact 2, one a light liquid and one a dark liquid, in 2 separate packages from 2 separate vendors. I provided pictures as you did to both vendors. Vendor #1 was horrified this had happened, and not only replaced the items but changed their shipping practices - and they DID use a padded envelope. Not even half as bad as using this envelope! Vendor #2 asked what they could do to make me whole as well.

How could someone we give our money to, and pay for shipping BTW, be so careless? I, for one, want to KNOW who this was from?

Okay, rant over. Carry on.

ETA: WHAT DID THE VENDOR DO?

Basically, it reflects the quality of the liquid you *should have* received. Sorry man. What a mess. I haven't been privy to a blowout like that yet, but I'm expecting anything now days, unless I know I'm ordering from a top-notch out-fit, which has pretty much been 100% of the time lately. Some vendors have had me worried now and again with their packaging rituals, but what they hey, suck it up gentlemen. It seems the women have you beaten ten-fold (or more) where that's concerned. Just sayin'...

Edit: My apologies to some vendor names I shouldn't have *named*. I Know it's not fair.

I think I would be more inclined to contact the vendor privately first. If you get little satisfaction or it happens again, then I'd go public.

Unfortunately, this is a place for concerns and issues about general and or specific issues, but not about the specific vendors. I, for one, would love to see a negative review, but in the right place. If and when RH does decide to do that review, maybe we could get a link. The problem with posting the vendor's name, outside of the fact that this isn't negative reviews, is that there will be issues with fans and such. RH was one of the members that inspired me to make this thread and I am truly saddened that this happened to her. Let's not exacerbate RH's feelings with demands to see the vendor's name.

Obviously people can post positive stuff about vendors, but negative (even when warranted) is a different story.

One observation that I made with the pics RH offered up. It was sent Priority Mail. Isn't that the same price for an envelope that size compared to a BOX?? Maybe I'm wrong here and someone can correct me...

No, they are different prices. "If it fits it ships." Different rates for different sizes.
