They make a "hybrid" now, it has a 510 body with the guts of a 306.

Metal tends to convey the atty heat to my lips. I'd much rather have Delrin, especially with dual coil cartos that have metal barrels. I'm a Delrin fan for that reason. Everyone has their own set of preferences.
Yeah I was really just looking for a metal 306 to 510 adapter, so a 510 drip tip would go onto a 306 atomizer. The only ones I have ever seen are made of derlin. I would rather that piece be metal.

You could try dismembering a spent 510 atty and using its sleeve as a 306-510 drip tip adapter.

This is exactly what I've been doing, and it works great. You have to use 510 attys with the fat band at the bottom. I'll post pics if thats unclear. I think this is great because now I can use my favorite drip tip and not have to use a plastic 306 tip! I have two I'm using now, one all silver with my ss drip tip, and one black with a gold band with a black ceramic drip tip. I happened to have a bag full of old attys that I haven't gotten around to cleaning, so I didn't mind pulling a few apart.
