For those that like the metal drip tips, Heaven Gifts has just posted on their site two new models of metal drip tips. The price on these is fantastic and they are also discounting their shipping due to the Labor Day holiday in China. Since these are brand new, they couldn't be reviewed yet, so if a mod wants to move this, that is great! Had no idea where else to put this?

amajn, what do you mean by 'coated' drip tips? I've never heard or read that anyone puts a 'coat' of anything on the metal for 'safety'. And I'm not aware that these metals used for tips are unsafe. Could you expound? :)
Well simply put any metals in your mouth are unsafe and if they are not Anodized "coated"
you are putting a raw metal in your mouth

Anodized ones will prevent ppl who have allergies or developing a allergie

Nhaler and super t both are anodized

I personally would not be comfortable using aluminum of any kind. Even the anodized can get scratches on the surface, making contact with the aluminum likely. Since many use their teeth to hold these in place, scratches are common. I am more comfortable using a bare metal that does not tarnish or rust, known to be safe to use.

so you're more comfortable using a metal that doesn't tarnish or rust....yet you're for the HG tips that are nickel platted copper?

aluminum annodized or not is safer and tarnishes less than copper (since the plating is prone to flaking and chipping from contact with skin..) not to mention the people with nickel alergies...oh and both aluminum and Stainless steel have lower issues with toxicity than copper too

Just sayin

This is what I was referring to. Please find out what anodizing is and does.

Switched, maybe you need to do a little more research on the subject?
"Anodized aluminium surfaces, for example, are harder than aluminium but have low to moderate wear resistance that can be improved with increasing thickness or by applying suitable sealing substances."
Might also want to do a little research on aluminum and the health effects from using it?

When did Super T start 'coating' or 'anodizing' their tips? I ordered one a month ago and it was a straight hunk of machined stainless. No coating and I had to polish it myself to get the nasty metallic taste off it. You wouldn't believe the amount of tarnish that came off.
