Stainless Steel Drip Tips

Is it just me or are there other people out there that hate the stainless steel drip tips too? I would rather have plastic or acrylic. The ss tips give me a metallic taste. I'm ready to toss them or try to trade them, but I wanted to see if I was the only one.

Have you soaked your SS tips in alcohol and rinsed under hot water before using them? I like SS tips personally but they do need to be properly cleaned before using or they will taste like crap.

Nooo...me too! I can't stand them. I only use plastic ones. And i can't either stand transparent ones (they look ugly and dirty even if they are clean). What else...oh, flat tips is also a no-no for me.

I actually prefer stainless ones. Plastic are ok to but the anodized aluminum ones I can't stand.

Wash your DT first. I get a clean vape out of my SS tips.

My dinnerware is stainless. Those seem to taste ok.

Much like anything else in vaping there is a lot of personal preference. I prefer Stainless Steel drip tips, I have a friend who only uses Delrin drip tips... Who's right, both of us and neither at the same time.

Yeah, I hate them. The first thing I do when I get a new stainless atty is pull out the drip tip and toss it into the "never to be used vape stuff" box. I like acrylics, but I've broken 2 of them when my device fell off my desk at the office and I've also noticed some color bleeding from the bottoms after longer usage, so now I'm on to the next thing. Anodized aluminum seems to work for me - that's what's in my avatar pic, and I'm getting ready to order 3 or 4 more of this shape in the anodized. It seems like the long, skinny one concentrates the flavor better for me.

No one is right no one is wrong, just a matter of personal preferences. In my case I dislike the feeling of the SS tips, it has nothing to do with taste. I don't even like my 14k gold drip tips!

I think they are ok. I do use them but I don't like how cold they get. lol

To me they are meh but I recently fell in love with a pyrex tip and wow that is nice little heat transfer and no flavor change imo.

But yea to echo what everyone says no one is wrong its all in what you like

All I have are stainless tips. Plastic tips crack at the base from certain juices, anodized tips are soft and scratch & dent easily, glass can break with one drop. That was my two cents toward the almighty dollar.

I don't like stainless either. I'm OK with anodized aluminum and acrylic but like glass best.

I use both but they sure do get cold in the Winter. I wonder if you could put shrink wrap stuff like you can put on wires on it? Just wondering. Might even learn something new. (usually do daily around here).

Bottom line.......I don't think anyone is "alone" here.

... or get REALLY hot in the summer 8-o

The plastic/acrylic feel a little better to me, and sometimes I get an aftertaste with the SS. At least it's not paper wrapped around a nasty analog filter
