No kudos for me, the original idea behind the analogy came from someone else and I just added the words to the pic. I remember reading it about a month ago (although I'm sure the wording was different), and it really clicked with me so I decided to share.

WOW!! I had to enlarge my entire screen to read it, but damn! That is a powerful simile, and just a spot on comparison! I will re-type it so everyone can see.

Powerful simile: Telling someone not to use an e-cigarette because there haven't been enough studies is like telling someoine in a burning building not to use the fire exit because it hasn't been inspected!

Damn Kookycole, I don't know where you got that one from, but I hadn't heard it before. I just can't get it out of my head...this is really the strongest simile, metaphor, or analogy, period!

p.s. I found the same pic you used, but I couldn't shrink it down on my computer.

Yeah it is a very nice simile. It inspired me for others but I didn't want to come off with the same idea as that lol. So trying out some new ideas in my head.

Are we able to remix our own version of another metaphor/simile/analogy as well? If not that's cool, trying to be original but I keep getting ideas in my head that are already (non vaping related though) in play.

So if I took say, Shakespeare and remix'd it to vaping, it'd count?
As I said I've been trying to be completely original but I fear i'm running out of ideas or other people have already discovered ways I've been thinking of here lol.

Thou hadst a voice whose sound was like the sea
You had a Provari whose sound was like a breeze
For example lol.. (Not Shakespeare btw)

I think it was a user comment on one of those articles that warn about the dangers of e-cigarettes. I tried to find it again so that I could give credit to the creator, but I couldn't. So if anyone else recognizes it and the original post, let me know. It was in more of a story format, I'll try to paraphrase from what I remember of it:
“Imagine that you are in a burning building, surrounded by flames. You make your way to the only available exit, but there is a man from the government standing there and blocking your way. He says that this fire exit was newly built and hasn’t had the chance to be inspected, so it might not be safe for you to use. Therefore, you would have to take your chance with the fire.”

Simile: Gas station and mall ecigs are like the tourist shops when you go on vacation; it's generally the first thing most people see and buy from, but the overall quality and craftsmanship of the products get better the further you go in!

Anyone can remix or piggyback this is you want; I am having a time with it trying to get it to have that punch. I know the perfect comparison is there, but like I said before...I am starting to get intimidated. LMAO

On a similar note ...

Analogy: Ecigs that need flashy advertisements are the cue that you need to look farther down the road for quality hardware. The quiet ad with the robust specs is where you will find satisfaction. Study and Save!

Analogy: Gas station and mall ecigs are like the tourist shops when you go on vacation; Shop them for ideas, but wait until you've seen the real thing before you buy.

Analogy: Gas station and mall ecigs are like the tourist shops when you go on vacation; The prices are high and the quality is low. Better products await down the road ... beware!

Kudos-go 2 me!

That is "sticky" good! That should be tagged for all new vapers to read (don't really like the term noob).

Analogy -

Getting a shipment of new vaping supplies in the mail is like being a kid on Christmas morning. You're not sure which new toy to play with first, or if there's some way that you can combine them all and play with everything at the same time!

(As I've only been vaping for three weeks, this has been how I've felt every time I get some new juice or type of atty and it's AWESOME!)

"Kudos-go 2 me"
