Flint Michigan nice Im originally from detroit. If you smoke a pack a day I would try to do 18mg starting out but as you advance and start to use high end devices you will begin to drop down in nic levels. Like when you start using a dripper you would only be able to chain vape maybe 8mg at the highest but if you have like a cartomizer its okay to start at 18 and work you way down. If you start to low you wont be able to supplement the nicotine high and will rush back to cigarettes I recommend getting Provari and a good tank but if you are just starting out like a complete newb its nothing wrong with an evic. Good Luck and keep vaping cigarettes stink.

From what ive read and understand if you smoked a pack of cigs a day start wtih 18mg juice. It worked for me. In my opinion its best to start at about the same nicotine level as you were getting from cigs because your going to have cravings your going to miss things like lighting up, flicking ashes, or whatever and your body will be starting to detox from all the poisons you wont be getting anymore. You may chain vape a while I think alot of us went through that lol. Once your comfortable vaping and the cravings have decreased then you can start dropping your nicotine levels more easily unless of course you are vaping like my self as a safer way to get nicotine lol.

"Nic Sick" is when you get dizzy/light-headed and somewhat nauseous. You'll be able to tell pretty quickly (then put the PV down for a bit). I smoked about 3/4-1 PAD and I can get by with about 6 mg. BUT, I have my PV in my hand almost all day (including at work.) I don't sub-ohm or drip. Just EVODs and a kayfun lite clone on my MVPs or VV3s.

If you're concerned about the 24-26 mg, get a bottle with something a little lower so you can mix it (or depending on your PG/VG ratio, pick up a bottle of VG at the pharmacy and cut a tank with a touch of VG to lower the nic level.)

I was wondering where to actually buy VG without having to go online. Thanks! Now I need a math person to tell me how much VG to add per ml to make 18mg.

Realize you're going to make your juice a little thicker - don't know what your original PG/VG is. You're also going to dip the flavor a little bit (i.e. since PG is the "palate or flavor" carrier and VG is the "vapor" carrier, your going to notice that the overall will be a little more subtle.

6/12/18/24 - they're all multiples of each other. 18mg is 3/4 of the 24mg original. I think you'd need to go as much as 1/4 VG to dilute to 18mg. To do it in semi-round numbers, 6ml of your 24mg juice would give you 144mg nic. Then, if you add 2ml of 0mg VG, you're going to have the same 144mg nic, but in 8mL juice. 144/8 = 18mg/mL (Short story - 3 parts 24mg + 1 part 0 mg)

Bottom line - play with it. If you don't like adding all VG, hit up Mt. Baker Vapor (Unflavored) for a bottle of whatever your PG/VG mix at 0 nic and use the same philosophy to dilute. At least your PG/VG will stay the same.

You can purchase VG at any store with a pharmacy. You'll find it in the OTC section. Look for Vegetable Glycerin, USP. There's a thread somewhere on here on how to identify proper USP grade items, but I can't find it through the search function.

As for your original question, you also need to consider how much ejuice you'll be vaping in addition to your nicotine levels. I used to have your exact set up, and I could knock out 6+ mL a day. Obviously the more you vape the more you'll have to lower your nicotine levels to prevent over dosage.

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking of the flavor impact. I use 50/50 right now. I really don't like any of the flavors I have so I guess it won't matter that much. I just didn't want to be wasteful and get rid of all these juice flavors I don't like all that much.

That's true, I did think about that. I usually only vape about 1/2 to 1 ml a day, is that kind of weird? Seems like everyone else vapes a lot more than that.

You will probably vape more when you step your nicotene down to 18mg. I smoked a pack and started on 18mg and it worked good. Only vaped a couple ml's a day though.

I keep hearing conflicting reports, so I figured I'd ask and get a consensus. For someone that normally smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, how many mg nicotine level juice do you recommend?

depends on the ciggie.... something like an ultra lite habit would probably be happy at 12-18nic and someone who does a heavy harsh ciggie 24+nic would be more satisfying...
