MG Question

Yeah, I know analogs are more expensive elsewhere...if I had been working my old job that I had up until 2008, the price hike would not have bothered me...but I was making less than 1/5 of what I did up until 2008 and the price doubling over a few years put an end to my buying from BT at an end. If I had stuck with the Camel Turkish Royals I loved it would have been closer to $80 every week and a half.

At least the Washington State Supreme Court struck down the legislature's attempt to jack up the tax on pipe tobacco as well. But those days are over. Haven't had an analog in almost 4 weeks now and no desire for one at all.

So you are quite new to giving up smoking then? ... I am actually motivated almost entirely by $$$ (and the fact that I can get a Kanger in pretty, pretty purple!) ...

Yep. I have to say that is was the new GF that motivated me primarily. Although I was getting tired of the constant smell, the inability to taste things and so on. It was actually cheaper for me to smoke analogs the way i was doing it....well, especially compared to the last 4 weeks where I have spent about 5x the amount I would normally spend for a month of smoking...but it will settle down eventually, right? Right........

It is VERY personal, I started at 24mg and vaped that exclusively for the first 9 months or so, but have recently started to drop down. A lot also depends on your delivery device. When I first started, using CE4's and T3's, the 24 barely did it for me. Moving up to rebuildables and variable wattage made me not need the vape as often. Now dripping, I can still drip at 24mg(most can't), but I'm vaping even less of the higher mg liquid so I mix it up all day, anywhere from 6mg to 24mg.

The financial aspect was a huge part of my decision too... also we just had the coldest winter in 30 yrs here near Atlanta, and I was fed up with freezing my bits off out there on the porch. :D In the last month since I gave 'em up, everytime we'd have a freeze overnight, I'd just literally dance around hollering "I don't have to go out there!" :D I feel like I've just been released from die-early-from-smoking prison! And also go-broke-affording-my-habit prison, and gross-out-your-husband-and-everybody-else prison!

Before I quit, I went outside to smoke, and during the summer, two orb weaver spiders kept spinning webs on the back porch... Not to mention I saw two huge rats eating the charred stuff off the grill.. not mice....RATS.. about a foot long each. I started to get paranoid just going on the back porch at night. :)

ROFL! Don't blame you a bit! Those big boys scare the bejeebers out of me.

Our cat killed a rat last year... we knew it had to be a rat, because it was much too big for a mouse, and didn't look like any other kind of varmint. But it wasn't huge, maybe twice the length of the avg mouse. Our cat is a fierce hunter, goes after anything that moves... but don't let any strange humans near, she'll go hide behind the toolbox! :D

PS: to bring it back to topic... she definitely approves of my switch, she'll even lick my right hand now, and always before, when it stank of cigarettes, she'd either turn away abruptly, or bite it! :D When I was still using the eRoll, with that blue-glowing tip, she even gave it a lick... the Tuxie seal of approval!! :thumb:

I smoke 20-30 16mg cigs a day - I have been on the heavy duty stuff for years now.

consequently, I ordered 'high' nic strength on all the juice I have on order - but I have seen some posts here that say that this is way too high even for heavy smokers.

Hi! Do you mean 1.6mg or have you discovered something absolutely terrifying?

"High" as in 24mg or 36mg is not really high once you factor in the differences between smoking and vaping.

As for unflavoured zero nic juice, I would expect that to be on sale quite a bit. My guess is that people would import strong nicotine base liquid (3 months, personal use, under Aus law) (?) and then dilute it with plain liquid and add flavour... the same as us here in the UK really.

I buy 54mg base, zero% mixer liquid, and flavour. A typical mix for me might be 3ml nic base, 3ml PG, 3ml VG and 1ml flavour. (that's not a recipe, by the way!!)

Welcome. :)
