So I got myself a kayfun 3.1, watched a whack load of videos on you tube, read all kinds of info on Google and still seem to have issues building one for my kayfun. Oh and yes I do use an Ohm checker. LOL
When you're wrapping it around whatever you're using you don't have to be perfect just try not to cross the wire over itself. Use tweezers while it's still on to push it together while pulling on the ends to keep it tight. Take it off and heat it up and push it together some more. Stick with it, all it takes is practice but once you get the hang of it it'll be very rewarding.
Yeah, def need to know what problems you are having to help you out. Keep in mind that building the coil is only half the challenge. Getting your wick done proper can be the difference between a great coil working awesome and a great coil working like crap.
After torching and mounting the coil, it keeps heating from the outside inward and from what I have read and seen in videos, that's not such a good thing.
They will do that till they break in try squeezing it together a bit after you heat it pulse it to red hot and move it around a bit gently most times that's all it takes to get it doing what it should. try this for your kayfun its a great build no dry hits and no gurgles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdXjBWf8Pc0
Ty epicdoom. It did take a while to get the coil to "burn" correctly but I did get it and the wicking part was a little agrevating but I did manage to get it. You were right. Awesome build. great flavour, good amount of vapor. Good call!
Now I've been looking at getting a Taifun GT (clone of course) but I'm not sure how well it works. Any info would be greatly appreciated from anybody who has one or has used one.
I have had a good look at the taifun Reminds me a lot of the kayfun. I have debated buying one for a month now. I always just end up buying another Kayfun. A few folks at my local B&M shop use the Taifun and they like it so I guess its probably worth a shot. I buy quite a bit of gear mostly testing it out looking for that ultimate vape experience. So far for me its a Kayfun and the caterpillar RDA with my new hana clone. I'm always looking.
