Greetings micro-coilers! I started this thread to basically get ideas from other experienced micro-coilers out there, or if maybe someones figured out an amazing tip to make these coils even better.

I'm oozing big satisfying clouds already, but I think maybe my wicking technique is where I'm lacking because I do find myself re-dripping about every 5-10 hits, which isn't that bad considering the amount of vapor I'm blowing like a steam engine.

For the record my sweet spot is:
-a single 1ohm coil (28ga usually 5-7wraps on 1/16 drill-bit) I've gotten best results positioning it vertically.
-15-16 watts
-*edit* just tried wicking with the most hollow fluffy cloud I could make under my micro coil, and ever so slightly spacing the wraps, experience jumped by 50% vapor/flavor wise.

How does ECF do it? Any tips?

6 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit for .7 ohms wicked it a folding piece of peaches and creme yarn. good taste, nice clouds and stupid simple to build and rewick

for dual I do two 7 wraps for a .4 biuld or two 8 wraps for .5. same wick
Nice, I haven't tried too many wraps that "big" I've been sticking to the micros and nano's lately, but I'm getting some 24 gauge pretty soon so I'll be giving that a shot for sure. I like the idea of yarn, I bet it wicks better because of the capillary action. I've just been using cotton balls because I have 500 of them.

I have been doing a lot of experimenting lately. Different rda's yield different sweet spots for me.

Ex. Stillare v2: I am using a dual coil 26gauge 5/6 wrap around 5/64 at about .32. Airflow is anywhere from 1/6th open to almost all the way, depending how I feel. I have a strawberry milk flavor in there alternating with a cake flavor. For whatever reason, they taste better at this resistance than any other I've tried. Even .37 which is adding another wrap, was not warm enough and just didn't heat up quick enough. Then it would sizzle down and burn more juice while cooling down.

Trident v1 and 2: dual coil 26gauge 6/7 wrap 5/64 ID at .37 ohms. I have more fruity flavors in these with 5/64 airholes and these are nice and warm, not too warm though, and they create dense flavorful vapor. I'm guessing it's the smaller chamber that affects this.

Helios clone: dual 24gauge 5/4 wrap 3/32 ID at .26 ohms. This one is my cloud making set up that I don't use all that often. I usually have a mellow citrus flavor that, with this setup, tastes good but not great yet makes a ton of vapor while guzzling juice.

I'm an indecisive person, considering I carry 3 devices with me pretty much anywhere at any time, but if I had to pick my sweet spot, it'd be my trident setups. I also notice, though, that with lower quality rda's and mods with poor connections and poor conductivity, everything suffers. I noticed that a .37 build in my igo-w was like a .5 in any of my atomizers with larger contact points for the wire connections and/or higher quality contact materials. Also, my same .37 build in the copper contacted trident will always hit harder on my copper mod than my SS or brass even because of voltage drop differences.

Basically what I'm saying is, my sweet spot, resistance wise at least, is based on the flavor and device I'm using. I know what I want out of it but it's always an experiment with what will get me there.

these coils are not to big and are wrapped like a micro coil, all touching. I use peaches and creme yarn, just find it to have better flavor and last a little longer then puff balls

Very true, my fruity flavors are alot better with my trident 2 also. But pretty much everything else is with my brass monkee, and I figured out I just need to wick so that ALL of the coil is being moistened by juice. I was doing the b.s. "oh yeah, just tuck a cloud under it" whatever, everyone knows its better when you wick through the coil, it's just science. I like how specific your input was, thank you, I didn't know others payed that much attention to it as well :p.
