I've had mine for maybe 3 months..I'm still using the same sera filler that I started with, I just take it out and rinse it off every once in a while. I traded my zap for it and the guy sent along a sheet of sera. I've read that cotton would work as a filler but I haven't tried it.

It's an interesting atty. I only use a diy peach juice in it and get thick, rich clouds. When I fill it, I don't get near the vape time as I do with say, the KFL before it starts needing juice again. It's kinda like a big cartomizer but the filler doesn't heat up and get gummy. It's not messy to refill. It takes a bit of trial and error to gauge how much filler to use and how long the wicks need to be. I'm sure you'll figure it out in no time. I look forward to hearing your thought on it once you get it.

Should be fun to fool around with. I needed a new toy to keep me occupied while I'm waiting for my Taifun GT to show up.

the spheri rocks. i liked mine but actually found it too intense at times. seeing how its been around awhile im sure all the videos are a bit older before micros grabbed attention. once you get the correct filler amount down it will hold a fair share.

I would think being built like a dripper deck any coil/wick will work as long as the wickends touch the filler.

Yeah, all the videos I've seen are close to a year old.

I'm in the same boat. Got mine coming next week and been thinking of how to use it with a microcoil and cotton. I would love to hear how to set up cotton wicks so that they stay pointing up and in contact with the Sera.

Thanks guys

yea.. the cotton tends to get a bit heavy and wants to lay down. I think I had a bit more success with doubling a piece of silica and the loop was what stuck up and contacted with the filler. But then I got into micros and haven't messed with silica since. I think with my next build, I'll go back to silica or ekowool. Here's a couple pics. I haven't taken any of it with a cotton wick.

My Spheroid came today, as I expected. My first set up went pretty easy. Micro coil at 1.2 ohms. I slipped in a cotton wick, much like I use in the Kayfun. I just had to measure to make sure the cotton hits the filler material. So far, it's vaping great on my SS Paps. I'm just waiting to see if the cotton eventually sags down. After about 1/2 hour of vaping, it hasn't. Pretty cool little device.

I think I might agree. My first set up was with a micro coil and cotton. It vaped great, for a while. But eventually the vapor and flavor became thin; and then a slight burnt cotton taste. I think what happened was that the weight of the juice eventually made the cotton start to sag, and lose contact with the sera. I took it apart, and rebuilt with a conventional coil and a loop of 2mm silica. So far, it's wicking well. Maybe silica or ekowool are the way to go with the Spheroid. I'll experiment more tomorrow.

A fat loop of silica works/wicks great but cotton tastes better to me. Plus with a micro and cotton, it's so easy to change wicks and leave the coil alone. If I wrap for silica, I wrap directly around the silica and when the silica needs changing, I can't just slide it out of the coil and slide a new one in. I have to take the whole thing down and wrap a new coil.

With those tiny nuts, changing the coil in the spheroid isn't my favorite thing to do.
