He said that he had a stroke. I know it sounds heartless but experience makes it impossible for me to have blind faith (unless Clapton is playing in the band).

I obviously hope he's okay but...

Yeah.

Sad possibilities here. Either option sucks.
I certainly don't want to wish ill on anyone, but I do hope the radio silence is medically related, and not another good one gone bad.
All that said, if OP does recover and revive this, I'd like the Biochip rda. Message me please.

If he PMs you, Kelt, I'd recommend not sending money immediately. He had ample opportunity to return everyone's money after his reported stroke, and instead chose to make more promises. Given the Reddit thing, I'm skeptical.

Yup. I'm not into throwing $$ away. Probably look for a Biochip elsewhere.

Makes you wonder. I mean, he has 33 swaps on Reddit and I just checked his swap history and the vast majority of his past trade partners have at least 10 swaps under their belts, most with much more than that. Very few have under 10 swaps and only a couple have just 1 swap. This points to him not gaming Tradebot, however I didn't check the accounts of all the partners, just looking at their swap flair counts.

I'm leaning more toward something went wrong in his life, medically or otherwise, such that he's unable to ship anything and/or give refunds at the moment...or communicate with buyers.

But I have to say, I always cringe when I see new EFC accounts that go straight for the classifieds and never post anywhere else. Lots of times they have new sealed items and mid-high end gear. It's just throws up a red flag for me. Top it off with being in a hurry to sell and that really makes me cringe. If I had a well-established forum with a classified section, my rule would be you have to have 100 posts in your account and your account has to be aged 3 months minimum (possibly even 6) to post in the classifieds section.

Dangit, more folks got JBoxed! Who's old enough to remember that fiasco? Getting y'alls money refunded through PP is not an option? Obviously I'm sure y'all have researched it....

I do! We've certainly seem some things...

And the other one. The atty. Scuba Gen (or something). Not to be confused with one of Dan's creations.

It turned into a veritable soap-opera, and they even did a (satire) "Birthday" thread here, that celebrated each year's passing with still no product. FUNNY stuff!

You mean? Like the watchuseeek guys? I think I could not even participate in the BST there, much less actually Buy or Sell until I had 100 posts

Has anyone ever disputed a vape transaction charge through Paypal when using Paypal G&S?

I ask because I think I may have been scammed (as a buyer) over on reddit. I paid for the item using Paypal G&S, but I'm worried about disputing it because if I have to reveal what exactly I was supposed to receive, I fear that Paypal may shut my paypal account down because I'm not supposed to be transacting for vape gear.

Can anyone shine a light on this? Is this something I should just "leave well enough alone" and eat the loss?

PayPal has and will shut down accounts due to a dispute involving vape gear. Whether that happens in your case? Who knows, but it will be a roll of the dice. I do a lot of BST on reddit and am reasonably familiar with the folks who transact frequently. If you are comfortable PMing the details I can see if the seller is someone I've done business with in the past. Not sure if my intervention would be of any consequence but I'm more than willing to assist if I am able.

edit: additionally, the mods do maintain a list of known scammers. If your seller has ripped you off, their name needs to be brought to the attention of the mods.

I may be PMing you at some point, but this person had 0 swaps so I doubt you transacted with them. I'm not worried about the money as much as just curious if anyone has disputed a G&S vape transaction. The amount I paid was under $25. Not a big deal in that regard. I'll wait until next Weds. If I don't receive my stuff (never got tracking # and communication went dead) then I will conclude I was in fact scammed.

The reason I asked the question is because if it's that risky to dispute, there there's no real reason to use G&S for vape transactions. Since scammers would know this, they would take their chances on a G&S transaction.

Maybe it was just luck of the draw, but I had my account suspended for a short time. I bought some juice from a person on another site, and in the invoice notes he put "cavendish". It was only a day or two before I got email from PP that my account was suspended for dealing in prohibited goods pending investigation. I'd note that I've had an account with them even before they took their current name, when they were x. com.

I contacted the seller (who got the same email) and told him what my explanation was going to be. That I'd bought essential oils to make candles. That my dad smoked a pipe and the aroma was comforting to me. My dad didn't smoke.

So it was a little stressful for a week or so until I got the email stating that my account was once again active. Yes, just a personal anecdote but this happened at least a year ago and they seemed pretty aggressive about buying/selling goods they prohibited.
