Well I leave for Miami in a week.I have all my holiday decorating done, the house is clean, the tree is up.Its fake because that was easier for me this year. The kids were disapointed but understanding.I have my shopping done and almost wrapped.Ill be wrapping as it comes in because I had to do alot of it online.I went out shopping twice and got dizzy and nervous,it wasnt working for me.I have one last big trip to the grocery store to do and I should be all set for the holidays.I have bloodwork tomorrow then I leave on the 13th.Im amazed that Im pulling it off because Im usually running at the last minute to get things done.I even did my Blogs for V4L and handed them in.So no worries until after Christmas. The kids should have a pretty normal holiday and Im going to be fine.Wish me luck!(((Hugs!)))

Finally! Good news about Mike! His first PSA test came at the best level possible. The PSA test is a marker test for cancer in the prostate. This does not mean Mike is cancer free..he may be..but we can't say for sure until 2 years of good tests. But for now the cancer is gone or beaten so far back that it is nearly undectable. TSA tests are pretty unreliable and are only a part of the diognostic tests that can tell if you have prostate cancer. The best indicator will be if at 18 months there is no rise in the PSA levels.
He will continue his hormone cocktail shot for the next two years to keep any cancer cells that may have escaped from the prostate from living to spread to bone or organs. That keeps him tired and continues to make muscles weak. His hot flashes are back so I told him to get more female hormones (very low level) to help keep the flashes down to a lower acceptable level. His hot flashes bring him to his knees and cause him to come close to passing out.
All in all it was really great news today!

We are very happy about it. I keep telling him I want to kill him with my meatloaf..lol (Don't send recipes..it has improved over the years..drat it!..Last time I joked about it I was flooded with recipes!)

We do try not to dwell on the bad side of things, instead we prepared for his radiation and feeling tired. He is still enjoying his laptop and tricked out bedroom. :)
