My husband's good about helping, and feels bad when he can't; but he does grumble about it sometimes lol. Seems like every time I needed him he had to work, but he had to go so we could pay the bills! When I had my surgery last year he took off for the surgery and the day after, but we couldn't afford for him to be off the 3rd day; then he had a wreck on his way home. 2 days post surgery and I had to load an infant and 20 month old in the van to go get him; worst experience ever! I'd had a hard time in recovery, ended up having to stay overnight in the hospital even though it was an outpatient surgery. Couldn't stand up, then my blood pressure bottomed out, and every time I tried to sit up I had muscle spasms along the bottom of my ribs. Couldn't use my stomach muscles for days. It's hard to get out of bed when you can only use your arms!

Reliving that memory makes me feel for you Keyzy, I hope your recovery is smooth and uneventful!

Well, make sure to kick him before you go...otherwise you'll have to wait until you're up and about again!

I guess we just have to except that they just dont get it.They expect a lot and give very little. Oh well.

Men are big babies when they are sick though.....wish they would remember that when we need them!!!

Mike tries to help when I am sick or recovering...he thinks having me go sit out in the sun is the best medicine. He also believes that campophenique is the only topical medicine anyone needs. Soup (campbells..yuck) is the only food you need.
He is sweet but I am always glad when I get better!

Sweet of him to try and help :)

My DD's ex asked if we could stop off at the ATM after she had surgery (C-Section) and was being released..he was busy! I just drove her and the baby to St. Cloud without bothering with him or the ATM! He was shocked..he said he was working (contractor..he could have left work to pick up his family AND go to the ATM!) Now we know why he is an ex.
