Today Mike starts his radiation. He didn't want me to go with him, he has 3 appt.'s today and it's storming. I think I make him nervous because I am. He drank his water and his boost..that's all I could do for him this morning. He has a special parking spot right outside the radiation clinic's door, so he doesn't have to park in the main hospital parking and walk a mile. I think that's great for him..on a normal day he will only be there about 15 minutes. The next patient will take his place. (they have 4 or 5 reserved parking for this clinic)

He said it was a big mess today. The parking was being paved...what!..They were running late and the x-rays wouldn't come out right. He had to have one of those once in a while hormone shots and finally just before his bladder burst they did the treatment. He left the room and headed for the mens room..the janitor was cleaning! Mike rushed him out!
Tomorrow should be better. He gets there by 6:30 am so no problems with parking.

I am doing my best to be supportive and not project my intense hatred of all things medical on his treatment. I just detest the SOP (standard operating procedure) that hospitals do..especially Military hospitals. They get crazy when I buck the system..sometimes there is a valid reason..sometimes they haven't got a clue why they are are doing it. I just want to know why and if there is a better way.(less invasive..and yes x-rays are invasive..maybe a sonagram?)
