So, it's been a week of vaping for me and absolutely no more analog cigarettes. I always got this sticky feel in my throat after I quitted smoking and switch to vaping which makes me cough or choke up after 4-5 puffs then after that it goes away and I can vape properly. I tried switching e-liquid too. Im using RY4 40% PG and 60% VG. Anyone here experienced the same problem too?

dkten: If I remember correctly this is the third post you have made about this same problem. You need to give members a chance to reply to your answer. I answered yesterday and also just a moment ago in the new members forum. Trust me the people here will try to help you as much as possible, but please give us time to answer. Now for the answer I've already given you.
You might try different ratios of PG/VG and see if that helps. VG is a thick liquid. I had the same problem and went to a higher PG ratio. It helped a lot. Don't give up but we need time to be able to answer you question. Hang in there buddy. It all gets better with time. :toast:

Some tolerate PG over VG, and some tolerate VG over PG. It will definitely dehydrate you and you should drink plenty of water. I know since I started vaping, I drink more liquids. Also, when I first started vaping, I got chapped lips. It went away and I've never had a problem with it again, and I've been vaping about a 1 1/2 years. I think maybe at first your body has to adjust to 1) getting off the chemicals and going through the withdrawals from the chemicals of cigs, and 2) getting used to vaping. If it still bothers you alot after being sure to stay hydrated, try maybe 100% VG or 100% PG and see if either one is best for you. But otherwise, it does take a little bit of getting used to at first and I think it's normal. Also keep in mind that when you quit smoking cigs, your body will also get rid of alot of phlegm and go through issues like that as well. Some people have said they coughed up a ton of stuff at first until their lungs got clean of the stuff from cigs.

Yes, thank you sir. It's just that, this feeling of choking and coughing is kinda pissing me off.
I even tried to go back to using analog cigarette but just the smell of it stops me, it seems that my body is still recovering.
I dunno maybe I'll go switch VG and PV ratios as you recommend and consult my physician. Thanks a lot sir.

Edit:
Yes, I'm drinking lots of water and having a proper diet.
I'm also taking up medicines to get rid of cough and phlegm.

I was getting a sore throat from vaping for maybe 2-3 weeks when i first started. Reflecting back i think it was just my body getting used to not inhaling smoke and inhaling PG/VG instead.

Also from my experience i didnt stop coughing crap up daily was about 2 months after, and i still cough stuff up, just not every day. Slowly getting better here.
