13 days Cori..great! I like the clean moth thing too. Now I need to invest in toothpaste. LOL
Wildsky, I have been going down in Nic, but vaping the same..like a nut! I want to start cutting down so I can quit. Geese, I like it though.:)
I haven't gone down in nic level at all - I'm still on "HIGH" pretty much.... LOL 18mg! :D

Thanks MaryKay.. I'm still a noob next to you guys but I'm enjoying it so much I don't see myself failing anymore.

I'm planning to cut down on the nic juice too. I'm using 16mg today..last week I was using 24 and 11 since I bought different strengths to get started. I also got my first DIY kit in, and mixed some juice myself for the first time. No idea what strength it turned out to be. I measured for 24 but it seemed too strong and not very tasteful. I ended up cutting it some more with PG and added some more flavor in. It's ok I guess for my first try.

Congrats everyone!

There's times I look at my PV and I just shake my head in wonderment!

My son and I both took to vaping from the start. We hit the 2-1/2 month mark a few days ago.

I had 4 packs of analogs that I had been hiding in a drawer in case of a dire emergency. I tossed them out when I made the 1 month mark.

Smoking analogs seems like a distant memory now. Before e-cigs I had pretty much thought I would be smoking til death do us part!

Congrats to all.

These PV's - ingenious! However, not rocket science.
How come someone (in the USA) didn't think of this years ago??
Or did they????

If I were given free cartons of my previous addiction (Virginia Slims Menthol Ultra Lights) - I wouldn't even light up. I wonder how I ever smoked those things. I prefer my penstyle PV with Pina Colada juice.

Side Note - There is a guy who wants to date me. He is nice enough, but he is a smoker and when he talks to me - I get nausious. I can't believe how bad he smells and that I used to smell like that. Yuck! I have given him all the info on PV's. I don't have the heart to tell him that he stinks. When he takes the bait - I'll consider the date. ;)

Hillway, Did you ever think WE'D be the ones discrimanating against smoker's? LOL
Mamu, you guys are doing good! 2 1/2 months..whoohoo!
Well Cori and Wildsky, maybe I am doing it wrong? I might be puffing so much because i am not getting enough nic. Well Rats! I was looking forward to O nic.(just so I could enjoy getting a bit of the flavor on my tongue!) :)
Did you guys see the thread about these? Smoke-Break®
I think they are neat! No batteries, no atomizers ect. But I wish the jell was colored or the tube wasn't clear. I did wonder how they disquised the nic flavor!

Congratulations to everyone!! I am so excited...and I haven't even received my starter kit yet! It should come Monday. I am so looking forward to this. This is the first time I'm not approaching quitting smoking with absolute dread. This e-cig thing is exactly what I, and a whole lot of us, have needed. Take away the harmful physical and social effects of smoking tobacco, while still having the pleasure of "vaping." Awesome. I just can't wait to start adding up my days free of analogs.

However...darn it, I have almost a full carton of cigs right now. I sure hate to waste them, at how expensive they are nowdays. We'll see, once I start vaping.

I got the Joye 510 starter kit, and three low-dose liquids (empty cartridges in this kit). I had thought I wanted a cigarette-looking style, but I got the black one instead. Might as well not look like I'm smoking a cig -- that would be kind of counter-productive. (But nor do I want to look like I'm smoking some goofy "contraption," like some vapers I've seen.

Well, naturally, I have my long personal story, of life and smoking...but for now, just to say hello! BTW, I'm 62, smoking since I was 14, so I'm old enough to know better!

well done all of you.

every day is a victory for yourself.

6 + months for me.......

I had smoked for 45 years,
the last 30 years, about 35- 40 cigs a day.
I had never been able to give up till I found e-cigs
I had tried everything on the market, no good,
always went back, or in most cases, never left.....

--notice all in past tense there ??

after 4 days of vaping with an e-cig,
I finally gave up tobacco cigs forever.........
I do not want them, I hate the taste......

I agree with you, the hand to mouth is more
important for me than the strength of the nic....
I started at 14mg, now down to 9mg
working down is the plan for me.
I don't know if I want to quit vaping tho,
I do enjoy it, but after another year,
who knows.

Dikerry, I'm glad you said this, and others have too, that it's not the nicotine as much as the hand-to-mouth thing, the whole ritual.

I got three liquids, all low-dose, and then I thought darn, maybe I should have gotten at least one medium, to judge the difference. But I bet it will be just fine.

I'm just so happy for everyone here, and as I said elsewhere, I haven't even gotten my starter kit yet!

On my way to check out all the other threads in the Women's Room. Glad to find this here.

Welcome Kathy! You are gonna love your e-cig, from what I understand Joye puts out a great product. But I wondered about the low nic..you may find you need more of a kick and then work down, as you wean yourself off analogs (cigs). be sure to check out all the sticky's in the new comer's forum. The video and warnings and stuff. They will teach you all you need to know. I like the abreviations thread by Imsewsure. It's in the new section but not a sticky yet.
I am coming up on 2 months analog free!!! What an amazing feeling after 37 years of analogs!

I started vaping on 6/6, so I am 8 days in -- and I haven't had an analog in 4 days! That for me is REALLY huge -- as I too have smoked for over 30 years, 2+ packs a day ... I am one that loved smoking. I will admit that I am still like a wide-eyed kid over it because I just can't believe that *I* have quit smoking! Heck, no one that knows me can believe it either!

I would like to stay on. I have made some very nice friends here. I do hope to quit vaping, but I am not going to make it my mission in life! As I get closer, I want cut way back on the vaping so that it is a treat instead of my full time obsession!
7 months! That's just amazing!
I wrote about Mom in Wreaked and Bonkers..you can find the whole sorry saga there! :(
