My Mini 2.5 has had an issue for about two weeks that seems to be getting worse. First, I noticed that the button occasionally wouldn't make contact. Then, I was hearing a sound......opened it up and the board is loose. I'm not getting any error messages, just the annoyance of the button not working sometimes. With my other Mini, a 2.0, the board doesn't move at all.

Is this something I should call ProVape about?

If you feel there is a problem, you should contact ProVape to see if they have suggestions for a fix you can do at home or if you should send it in. One of the reasons we buy ProVaris is so we don't have to be annoyed by things not working the way they should. Remember, you have a ProVari, not a Vamo. :)

When you say the board is loose, do you mean you have popped out the top cap and the board is loose in the grooves?
From ProVape, the board is retained in the grooves by two beads of clear hot glue in the grooves to keep it from sliding up towards the top cap. If it is still under warranty, they will likely reapply this for you. If not and you don't feel comfortable removing the top cap on your own, then sending it back to ProVape would be the best thing to do... Will probably cost ya like $10 maybe? They're very reasonable

If it's no longer under warranty, and you do know how to get the top cap off, then it's a pretty simple task. Pop off the top cap... Push the board all the way down the grooves until it stops... Apply a dab of hot glue at the top of the board in the grooves on both sides... Oh, and of course make sure the button is in place BEFORE you press the top cap back on :D Last, press the top cap back in.

Do they even have a phone number listed anywhere on their site? I've always submitted questions through their ticketing system, and they're always very quick to reply, and quite friendly!

As far as I know, they do not list their phone number. People have gotten ahold of it though. I prefer email since it all in writing and I can be sure of what I was told.

I just emailed them. The only reason I mentioned calling was that I thought I heard someone else mention it. No big deal...:)

dam718, yes, it's under warranty. I have not opened the top cap. The circuit board moves from side to side to side in any direction (but not lengthwise in the tube). I think you're right - probably need to be re-glued.....minor issue. I've saved your instructions for the future just in case. Thanks for that!

I have been emailing back and forth with them, this is actually what mine is doing. When it moves, the button does not make good contact.

Yes, exactly. I got a very quick response with the suggestion of stretching the spring out a little, which I already did a couple weeks ago. It did work for a while but the movement came back. Essentially stretching the spring just makes the battery press harder against that internal post, holding the circuit board in place a little better.

The responder assured me that if I'm not satisfied with this, I can send it in. I'll see what happens after a couple "spring stretches" and go from there.

I did the spring pull thing. A guy can only pull his spring so much before that gets old :homy:

What bothers me now is that after the trouble shooting we did via email, it won't turn on anymore. I just get blink LED in the button, so I know there is power on a fresh battery.

They agreed and sent me info on how to send it in, hopefully I get it out tomorrow.

Hope yours gets settled asap. Winter is here in our area and the provaris are going to help me get thru it!

Interesting... If the board is moving side to side it sounds like they either got a batch of boards that were a hair bit too skinny, or a batch of tubes with the gooves cut a hair bit too deep. When I took my V1 apart to polish it, the board slid tightly in the grooves.

Definitely want to send that in, I'd imagine they are either going to replace the board or the tube, whichever area the issue lies in...

Either way, you get it back good as new! Good to hear it's still under warranty!
