I completely agree with the policy of not posting references to illicit substances we don't want to be connected to, however posts of that nature were allowed at one point and those posts still exist in the archives and show up in search results.
I wonder if it would be of any benefit to recruit "Mini mods" (Mini in the sense they wouldn't moderate the active forum) whose sole duty would be to scroll through the archives and delete objectionable references. With over a millions posts the task sounds daunting, but I wouldn't expect it to catch every one. A search of the most common names of illicit substances, with the results displayed in ascending order, brings many of them up. I wasn't thinking of a project with a specific goal end date, more like something on-going for when people felt like reading the archives, which is fun for some of us.
