I love my Provari mini. It is great to have the flexibility to go with the extended cap and/or to go with the stock mini which is more pocket friendly. I find that tall tanks or atomizers do well in the stock configuration. Taller it gets the higher the center of gravity. Tips easier. You won't regret a Provari regardless of what you decide.

I don't have the standard but I just reviewed my mini. My thinking was I already have a LT that uses 18650. I did get the ext cap as well as both battery sizes. I love the size of the mini. The 18490 will last all day on a normal day. Now I use the 18350 while at work, switch out the battery after work for a charged one when I get home. If I know I won't be coming home after work I use the 18490 and all is good.

You mean the Taclite pants with the knife pocket in them? I hope so. That would pursuade me towards the direction. Do you think the standard with the 18500 would fit ok? That's usually where I carry my vmax now.

Exactly those pants, own 3 pair. The left magazine pocket is great for a Provari mini (or regular in 18490 mode). The "knife" pocket on the right works well also. During matches, my vape stuff goes in the right mag pocket and a mag or 2 go in the left depending on whether I'm using a 1911 or G-35.

My favorite pants, by far.

I got my mini about two weeks ago. I got 3 18350 batteries and didn't get the extender cap. I figured I could always get one in the future if I wanted it. So far I haven't had the need. I love the small size and the battery life is perfect for my needs. Prior to my Provari I was using ego twists. I started out with a longer, 1000 mah twist but quickly began to favor my 650 mah's for their shorter size, because they fit easily in my pocket or small purse. I love the mini for the same reason. I was considering the full size provari since you get the extended battery capability for the same price, but I really liked the teardrop design on the mini a lot more, so I went with that. I couldn't be happier with it.

I'm a student, and soon I will graduate and be a nurse with 12 hour shifts. My commute to school is about 45 min each way, and when I'm there I only get to sneak a couple of puffs in the bathroom every couple of hours. When I'm working it will be the same way, with a shorter commute. If I had a job where I could chain vape all day long I might consider the larger size. Even though I don't need it, I still carry an ego twist with a clearo and a spare provari battery as a backup.

Back ups are good. I bring them all the time but I have never really used them. I even have a bottle of juice in my bag at all times.

I just use my ego twist while on the range coz I don't like getting sticky progrip on my white Provari. :p

I got a standard Provari because of the fear that the 18490 won't last throughout the day but the 18490 turned out just perfect for my 8 hour office day.

Finally an answer that I can relate to. It's hard to carry anything in a duty rig all day. I got 6 pairs. And they the most comfy pants I own, except for boxer shorts and scrubs. But when at work I can't hardley get by with that. LOL. Wish I could.

Choosing the color, thought about it for a few hours off and on and went with black.
The LED, hours of reading posts and comments, went with blue.
The extra year of coverage, same as the LED, afraid I would be sorry if I didnt get it so it was added.
Then I read way to much about charger pros and cons, changed the order at least 10 times looking at the total $ over and over, got tired of looking and changing the order, just got the dang Pila.
And then the biggie the standard or mini, I spent hours reading comments pros and cons.
Was still trying to decide at the moment I hit the check out button,, went with the full size.
When I started looking at the Provape site I was set to just get the silver kit and be done with it, it would be here by now and I woulda saved a lot of $
Total time spent to choose the right Provari was worse then a kid at Christmas with a ToysRus magazine!

Should I have got the mini???

This little tube allows the mini to use anything from 18350 to 18650 if you have the extension cap.

I don't feel like reading the other 3 pages, so here is my input.
I got the mini. I almost never use the extended cap. The 18350 lasts me 1.5 days, and I vape it pretty constantly. It also looks WAY better with the standard cap IMO, I don't really like how the extended cap looks. Mine is satin black, by the way. Oh, and the teardrop pattern on the mini looks way better than the lines on the standard size.
