I am currently having an issue with one of my Mini Protank 2's. I filled it to the brim right before the brim of the center pole and then screw the base on. However, I'm noticing that the base isn't sealing the glass to the base as close and as clean as before. I didn't really notice this too much until I attached it onto my MPV 2. When I go for a bit, I'm not getting anything at all...so I'm wondering if bent the pole where the coils would go through when you screw it on? I know that the glass before did shift and I did unscrew it a bit. I'm not sure if I should just buy a new one, but I thought I would ask to see if there is a fix for this before going out to purchase another MPT2...

Any help is appreciated.

Make sure the top pole of the coil head is pushed all the way in to the head cup, the rubber stopper all the way down, and the entire head assembly is screwed as tightly as possible into the MPT2 base. I've noticed some variance of top pole length between various heads, so its normal for a bit of a gap for some heads. Also adding a bit of vaseline or another nontoxic lubricant to all of the threads in the MPT2 will make threading down alot easier and snug, and make it simpler to unscrew when the time comes for refilling/cleaning/etc. Making sure everything is locked down tight will minimize the gap, and it won't affect performance. :)

I took it a part and reassembled it after cleaning. It seems to be working now!!! Thanks for the tips guys.

I noticed that my drip tip that I got for MBV fits, but it wiggles around at times...it's not a snug fit like the original drip tip. However, it's not affecting the vape / vapor production so far so I'm not too concerned and there are no leaks as well.

Weird since I was told that the 510 drip tips work on the Mini Protank 2. Correct me if I'm wrong?

+ 1, Take it apart, clean it in warm water then stick it back together, I have loads of these for nights out and they can sometimes be a little tricky to re-assemble correctly! also check your not threading the centre pole!

Can you be a bit more specific when you say threading the middle pole? Do you mean screwing it on too tightly?

They do, but apparently not all drip tips are equal, and the same goes for drip tip receptacles. Some will be loose, some will be snug, and some will be tight.

Not yet, but It's close between that one and the Nautilus for me.

I have four Mini PT II's, bought at different times, different places. I find the bases to be problematic on all of them. Got a good deal on some Aerotank bases yesterday (4 for $12)and they fit nicely on the Mini PT II's. I don't need the Ego threading of the Mini bases so it's all good!!

That's new to me, so the aerobase is interchangable with Mini pt2? Woah talk about the best from 2 worlds.

I use the aerotank with my VTR and really like it. Liked it enough that I bought another.
